No idea why this came up in my suggested videos. I love you and I think you are incredibly brave. Subscribed. Thank you *so* much for sharing your story with us.❤
Dawn, thank you for your courage and willingness to share. Both my elderly parents find their memories failing them now, and I value any insight I can get into what it’s like to be in their shoes. I have subscribed ,and I wish you all the best as you venture into the unknown.
Carnivore is saving my mom...she started to have severe mental decline, last ditch effort we tried the carnivore diet and holy crap.. within 30 days had my mom back... she was able to follow conversations again, read books again, her physical pains were healing (gut, arthritis)... it's been 3 months and she's back to living in her own house (I was taking care of her) and getting better and better every day. Dr. Barry on RU-vid is a great place to start
My Mother, her sisters and my Grandma all had vascular dementia. I am doing all I can to slow or prevent it happening to me. God bless you for sharing your journey with us.
It is so scary for some and at first it's hard to know what to do. You feel embarrassed and ashamed. Would your sister watch this video? I wish you both all the best.
Your video just came across my path. Please look up Dr Ken Berry & Dr Anthony Chaffee on RU-vid - your diagnosis may be linked to food intake. Search keto and dementia, these doctors aren’t the only people discussing the connection. Best of luck turning things around. Be your own advocate❤️
I also recommend a ketogenic diet. My grandmother and mother had dementia. There is a lot of research about this diet and epilepsy. There is a nursing home owner who helped his residents with this diet and many were helped.
youre welcome...my mum had infusions of magnesium and potassium and sodium in hospital ...her full faculties returned and she was no longer deaf!!! Deafness and water infections also can cause confusion and incorrect diagnosis too !!
Just happened upon this. Hope you will get the support you need. I presume you know to avoid any medications in the anticholinergics and benzodiazepines categories as they have a heightened link to dementia. Lots of articles online. I was recently studying this for a friend and also came upon Nattokinase, an enzyme derived from soy plants, that MAY be able to help reduce amyloid plaques. Obviously do your own research. There are supplements available online. If you do have it, I hope you have very 'slow' onset and we find treatments in time. Blessings to you.
We assist our patients with all types of cognitive problems due to a myriad of issues. Our first question is what is the person’s exposure to sweeteners - artificial and also stevia.
@@dawnturner7010 stevia is not technically artificial. Try not using at all for 3 months. The many patients we’ve had remove stevia have all improved cognitively in 3 months. Some of the advice about carnivore can be helpful. Amino acids are readily available to support most of what the body needs when eating animal proteins. Good water, (we only like Mountain Valley Spring water these days) and of course a sufficient amount of potassium, sodium, magnesium. We sometimes supplement with certain amino acids and there could be a need for gentle detoxing. Don’t hesitate to comment back at some point. 😁
Hi, i can see youre getting a lot of medical advice below, most of which is not proven or just untrue. I just want to say be careful with who you trust online (im sure you are already!) and to listen to your doctors.
