They are. If you have enough J U I C E like me. I make a substation and fill the whole blue area around it with lasers, then even a huge number of the most massive biter hordes can just put a scratch in it. The only time the laser substation was ever defeated was when I put one way way out there with a piece of artillery that had a lot of new biter nests in its range and they all attacked basically at once in huge hordes over and over again, I then made the artillery attack even further by hand just to piss off more biter nests, It worked. Even then I had to fire an artillery shell into the turrets just to make the thing a tiny bit weaker, just trust me it may take a lot of power but oh my god they kick ass. I now nuke portions of my base just to watch the drones fix it I’m so powerful. So please, do NOT say something so stupid! You don’t need mods to fix them, you don’t need anything else, you just need a lot of electricity.

This is the kind of stuff you can probably run water on it and get free steam to run on turbines to help with the energy hog these turrets probably are

So has the US. Amazing what you can do with half a dozen CO2 welding lasers in a focusing array. They double as really good telescopes, as well.
