Why is it whenever I naturally just click on a video of yours with no hesitation, it just happens to be what I need to hear. I’m 19, almost 20, going through a big shift in my life. Graduated high school a year ago and have been stressing in what I wanna be doing with my life. Much more to the story, but that’s a gist. This video spoke right to my soul when I needed to hear it, the universe is crazy 😌

I was listening to a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me). And part of that is routinely putting in work on your dreams and projects despite how you’re feeling! I was a zombie for 2 years, so depressed - feeling like those two years are just gone - the critic in my head is vicious. This video is a message to keep my head up and keep marching forward. I’ve felt doubtful about my RU-vid channel since the start but I try to keep going through the feelings of doubts because I know you’re out there doing the same!!

i found you a few days ago and i am so glad i did. i've been in a bad place lately; my dad gave me a deadline to get a job, i have problems with self worth and self harm, i don't know what im going to do after high school and i have extreme social anxiety, to name a few. you’ve become a mentor of sorts to me. i know you don't know me and no one else cares but i just wanted to say thank you. i feel im on my way to becoming ready to tackle the world.

What a word! I was always shy and withdrawn as an adolescent, and too fearful to really engage how I wanted. As an adult, this has been an asset, and even then prevented me from interacting with the wrong crowd because my awkwardness repelled them 😂 to God be the glory lol!

I was talking with my therapist yesterday. I’ve been feeling anxious to create RU-vid videos because of fear of failure. But she reminded me that even if I change one persons life of influence just one person positively, that is a success. it’s unfortunate because i used to feel this way. i escaped my dysfunctional upbringing by going to college and living in an off-campus apartment. there was where i met my roommate, alyssa, who ended up being one of the greatest friends i have ever met. we were a family and i truly felt like i had someone in my corner, caring about my future just as much as i cared about hers. well, she died last month due to a car accident on her way to work. i know my strength came from within, but ever since her passing it has been hell. leaving the place we called home, having to move back into the dysfunction. i’m trying really hard to feel grateful that i’m here, but this world is turning to shit and it seems like the majority of people only care about themselves. alyssa and i were the exception and I would have loved to make a difference in this world - but i’m not equipped to help anyone honestly.
