Do you wonder why wholesome videos of either people helping other or people helping animals get so many likes/views It's cuz they watch others do what they are too lazy to do
it's not about the effort it's about shocking values a ludicrous amounts of ramen noodles on the back of a truck is gonna shock yo average grandma on facebook scroling and you know how clueless grandmas are about fake videos so theyre gonna start sending this everywhere
@@PixP6 but what's fucking wild is ACTUALLY helping someone get a meal is NOT that fucking hard at all. Just buy the guy asking for a beer or food outside a shop some beer or food next time you see someone asking. Takes absolutely no extra effort past carrying it back outside for them. Cost less and uses less fucking effort but will actually get someone something nice they actually would enjoy. Fuck even have some snacks with them, make a new friend homeless people are normal people afterall. When I was homeless if some freaks rolled up to me with this book hazard of a soup though, I'd fucking run.
I laughed so hard at the "NEED $" sign and you commenting about laying on a pile of rocks! I was homeless for 10 years in Washington state, ate out of restaurant dumpsters, flew signs almost every day. You don't make a "Need $" sign. Major turn off, "Anything Helps" works way better. And you don't lay on a pile of rocks. That just makes you look like a passed out drunk. Nobody wants to hand you free anything if you don't look like you're at least trying to better yourself. Unwritten rules of the underground. Love your channel, peace out from South Carolina✌️
The homeless situation in America is a real eye opener, I have been to a number of places through out South East Asia and I didn't see homeless anything like I did in America 2011, Austin was mind blowing. 4 people begging at every traffic light, crazy.
@@kingcosworth2643 it’s a human rights issue. The US is 53rd in freedom. Some basic human rights in other countries aren’t in place for US citizens. That’s the real problem. Cold War US was a propaganda machine. Anything that wasn’t hyper capitalism was communism. And anything that was communism was bad. That’s why Americans are afraid of the word ‘social’. Tbh, I’m surprised the US has drinkable tap water. I’d think Americans would call it a commie plot to let the lazy man drink of their dime.. If everyone has a home, education, healthcare, a life, then crime practically vanishes. Do you know why Norwegians can leave their babies outside their homes unattended to sleep in the sun? Do you know why the Irish can leave their front door hanging open all night? Do you know why the Belgians can leave their cars unlocked? Because nobody is going to commit crimes that might cost them their lives. Give someone something to lose and they won’t risk it. Americans have nothing to lose so nothing to risk. Hence the daily massacres and crime rates. Americans say ‘only in the US can you become a billionaire’ etc etc 1) just completely false 2) that’s a weird thing to brag about, you’re literally saying ‘I’m from a country with so few human rights, someone else can exploit me to make billions. Take that euro trash!’ You’ve been fooled into thinking ‘it could be you’ or to share the accomplishments of other people simply because you live on the same pile of dirt. My sympathies do go out to those Americans struggling. Same for any people struggling.
"Anything helps, God bless" or something along those lines seems to be a universally accepted sign. Anyone who has been through being homeless or been around it should recognize how fake this is
They also wouldn't ask for $20 upfront, they'd just ask if they had any money to spare at all. Asking for so much like that would lead to an immediate 'no'
For anyone who actually would like to help the homeless here's an idea for you. I make goodie bags and keep them in my truck for when I see someone in need and they are always very thankful. Here's a list (I buy the travel size stuff usually so I can afford to make more of them) Socks (#1 asked for item) Toothbrush & toothpaste Deodorant Hair comb Bar of soap Shampoo Roll of TP Writing pad & pen Flavor packets for water Few bottles of water Something with protein like beef jerky or peanut butter crackers Something with sugar usually a 2 Pack of Oreos Sometimes I'll add enough quarters so they can do a load of laundry if I'm in an area where there's a laundromat. Its also helpful to keep little personal first aid kits on hand if anyone needs one. I usually wait until someone asks for one of those because some people here will try to resell them Edit: Wow I just noticed the attention this got that's pretty cool lol. Thanks for the advice, I like the one about adding feminine products, I guess as a guy I didn't consider how important that is so definitely a good addition. Thanks everyone ❤️
@@janitoad7342yeah, people seem to forget that a lot… my mom didn’t understand I have to trade to get them with my friend cause I’m on food stamps. They should be considered necessary like baby formula but aren’t.
Fr. Like sure if u need to u can manage to eat it with a spoon. But these people coulda VERY easily have handed out a fork instead 💀 guess they never had to eat ramen 🍜
I remember this homeless guy hanging out behind the strip club I worked at. He wasn’t bothering anyone, just huddled up crying. I pointed him out to a few other dancers and we threw enough money for him to get a room and whatever food he wanted. We explained to the manager we’d come back later that night to get him a few more nights and he let the guy stay there if he could help clean up the parking lot and pool. I haven’t worked at that club in 5 years but I hope that guy is doing better
As disgusted as I am by the massive waste of food, I'm also extremely relieved that they did stage this with a friend, instead of actually going out and potentially making genuinely homeless people sick with their nasty truck bed noodles 😑 ugh 🤢
As someone who was homeless (only for a few weeks mind you) i would just assume that these people were trying to harm me/bully me with this. Especially considering many people are extremely kind and will buy you fresh and delicious food as opposed to a slop-troth on wheels.
Exactly. I had a homeless dude come up to the gas station I was workin at and I just bought him whatever he wanted. Man's appreciation was heartwarming. And then a fat fuck karen came up behind him and gave me and him shit for it saying he's lazy and I shouldn't give him stuff. I flat out told her hey I'm lucky enough to be in a comfortable living situation, the least I can do is help someone who isn't out. She came back the next week to say shit like "oh actually I volunteer at homeless shelters so uh" as if I believe her or if that changes the fact she was an absolutely arrogant piece of shit last week.
I was homeless with a twisted ankle. I've slept in some relatively uncomfortable places, but I've never gone out of my way to make myself uncomfortable by sleeping on a pile of rocks or glass. Most of us at that point would just opt for the grass somewhere or the local shelter. I've only panhandled a few times. -At the time my ankle injury required physical therapy which my insurance covered but until then i couldn't go back to work. I was also on crutches and had an ankle brace (yay) I was extremely grateful for everyone who donated. I got food/snacks, ibuprofen for my ankle, a few dollars, cigarettes, handwarmers/gloves etc . Someone gave me a bus pass with a week left on it and i was ecstatic. Different things from different people, but they all had one thing in common- none of them recorded, and all of them treated me with respect. That being said, it was still humiliating. I didn't approach cars and i didn't ASK for cash, but i still got dirty looks, people who insulted me from their cars or said my injury was fake. I guess my point is that homeless people in the real world are dehumanized enough. How the creators think this is okay in any way boggles me
@@Fashion_Fighter Even less than that. Flat brain too. She had a spoon for a ramen truck... She openly admits she stages stuff... She could've just fed homeless folks for real at a soup kitchen. Could've said "We need volunteers at (soup kitchen location) so y'all do your part" and then it is a charity promotion rather than just cloutwhoring. Let's face it, there were barely any cells in that sheet of brain matter to begin with. This shit proves her brain functions better as a surface flat and smooth enough to work best as a mirror.
I like how they said they didn't have $20 when he asks, but then proceed to gift the "homeless man" $20 before they leave so they look nicer by having it be unprompted
According to a news article. They were scented trash bags. for the extra chemical poisoning/flavor. "The woman attaches scented trash bags to her legs while standing on the pavement to step into the bed. Hoping to protect her outfit from all of the ingredients currently swathing around in the cargo bed, she attaches chemically-produced trash bags to her legs, getting germs from the pavement and the ledge of the pickup all over them, and proceeds to step in."
@@nicodelle7160 same. I'm very happy with Charlie curating and narrating the nonsense. Spent way too long on Twitter today and missed this. Probably for the best.
I remember when I was homeless, this one massive Hispanic family would go around 1-2 times a month to every shelter in my city and make fresh genuine Hispanic food, not part of a religious group, not doing it for clout, just doing it to help people out. And God damn that was some of the best food I've ever had.
There are so many of these fake "good deeds" videos it's depressing. What's worse is that there are plenty of videos where they spend 20 bucks "helping" a homeless person and then make thousands off of the video.
One year I helped make a Christmas morning meal for the homeless people in my area. I was tasked with oatmeal duty, and someone complained that I had burned the oatmeal. It was a totally fair critique, I accidentally did overcook the oatmeal. I bring this up because often people who never interact with homeless people don't realize that homeless people are just regular people. They're not animals. They're not going to shovel down whatever trash you give them to eat. They want healthy, delicious food, same as you. Most homeless people would likely react to a truck bed full of ramen noodles by just being "what the actual fuck", not, "oh, wow, thank you so much for this trough full of unhealthy, bacteria infested garbage!"
This is truth. I think popular media has conditioned people to think that homeless person equates to starving, desperate animal. So people think they can get away with shit like this, because they honestly think that the homeless will eat whatever they make.
@@lionelschweetz4844 People also get offended when homeless turn down food that random people try to give them, when in reality, it's more of an issue of safety. You can guarantee there are sickos out there who would try to cull the homeless population by handing out poisoned meals, whether home made or tampered with from a restaurant.
@Keshuel if I was homeless and you gave me a tuna sandwich I wouldn’t eat it because I hate fish. They have a right to decline whatever you wanna give them, could be allergies could just not want it. Why should they be grateful when your not even giving them something they want
@@Valkbg oh I get that, I’m just saying let’s be grateful their selfishness and inconsiderate asses didn’t ruin any lives because of it and is just some stupid ass people.
I’ve actually worked at homeless shelters. Homeless people would not grab food from the back of a random truck. They are actual people just like us and they are discerning and cautious, as they should be. Like if anyone has ever volunteered or worked at homeless shelters, you’ll find your coworkers are a lot of the time other homeless people. They’ve been around the block and they know what to trust and what not to trust. Because, and I feel like no have to state this again, they are just regular people like you and me.
A middle finger would have been the most realistic response of an actual homeless person to a couple who not only refused to give them any money, but told them to scoop some garbage out of the back of their truck for a meal instead. I'd be tempted to kick the car as those jokers drove by for extra measure, even.
My immediate thought was- no one is taking food from a messy ramen pool in the back of a truck… homeless or not, people are aware of the myriad of dark hearted people who would do all kinds of nonsense with food, hoping someone ate it.
Food poisoning is no joke and when you have no place to take care off it, of course you are going to be cautious. It's why homeless people prefers to go to McDonalds or other big chains. Food might not always be the best but they are safest options
I love how she's even too lazy to serve him. He has to dip his filthy hands into the whole mess and scoop it out, all ready for the next fake person to help themselves and get some kind of germ ridden disease.
This reminds me of a kitten rescue video I started to watch recently. I stopped about 30 seconds in because I couldn't fathom why they were filming in the first place. It was horrifying to watch them film themselves approaching what they had allegedly been told was a dying kitten on the street alone, sick and weak. It continued to be horrifying as they proceeded to show off the kitten to the camera instead of immediately giving it the help and care it needed. Every minute can count with a sick kitten that young and even after they retrieved the kitten and took them to shelter they continued to put more time and effort into the filming than saving the kitten. The difference between that video and one of someone genuinely in it for the cats and kittens was painfully obvious and turned my stomach.
This goes much deeper and more horrifying when you see the videos of animal abuse. When someone just happens to "save" an animal stuck in a well and other similar situations. These types of fake videos run wild on facebook.
yeah they could actually just go to soup kitchen and actually help people and still earn there free internet point but nah lets just do something like that
@@jar207 Also his fans talk about his supposedly unentertaining methods while still watching and commenting instead of finding entertainment elsewhere.
The tiny little spoon they gave the guy made me laugh so hard. It looked impossible to drink the soup with, much less get any noodles. Plus the fact they couldn’t even serve him the ramen and instead made him just scoop it with the bowl is so weird
Do you wonder why wholesome videos of either people helping other or people helping animals get so many likes/views It's cuz they watch others do what they are too lazy to do
I think the craziest part about these fake good deeds is that they MUST rewatch this multiple times before putting it on the internet and they STILL hit that Upload button.
It is honestly extremely concerning.. these people are not people they have no empathy and based off the neighborhood in the background and the nice truck, they are well to do already so it is absolutely disgusting. They can be helping homeless and hungry people so easily with how much time and money they seem to have. Karma will find its way around to them.
Charlie is wrong on this.. They state they make staged videos and this clearly was made as a parody. Whether or not only a small percentage of people actually find it funny doesn't change these facts
@@michaelangst6078did they clarify that on the caption of the video though? And even if it was a “parody”, they’re still wasting a shit ton of food that could’ve gone to actual homeless people.
The fact the 'homeless' friend is so far away from any traffic, but holding a sign... clearly because they didn't want to risk any real people actually coming up to them.
I try to stay as clean as possible. If you have a bright shining face, no matter the beard or long hair people know that you do what you can, with what you got. Here's a tip, find a place that lets you have free water, put it in a black trash bag in the sun, you get at least a warm bath.
As someone who participates in charity. It breaks my heart knowing someone could be so vile and utilize altruism for the sake of clout rather than genuinely helping someone in need. The feeling you get is very humbling after seeing someone smile or tear up from joy due to how thankful they are to be given by mundane things like food and clothes.
My art teacher goes to Kensington every week and actually feeds the homeless and helps whatever addict needs help get into treatment. She even goes out with another non for profit with portable showers. She gets little attention and it irks me that someone like this gets even a tenth of the attention it’s gotten. I know she does it out of the love from her heart and her higher power but I wish she had this much attention in support. If anyone is interested in seeing her website let me know ❤️
Yes and no. Most people that try to do good for others myself included just do it. Its not for talking about or filming or pictures its for just doing whats right and kind.
@@tassawathir212 perhaps but hopefully there's enough people that share my mindset of just doing right cuz its the right thing to do and be able to not worry or care about bystanders. Im well aware of the state of things but I just keep trying to live as a decent person and teach my kids the same
@@nmgg6928 Hopefully that is the case, but ideally I would like the good doers to be able do good deeds without risking their reputation or more to misunderstandings. Incidents like this decreases the chance of good mindsets like your's to manifest in today's time.
Who cares if they are though? You aren't meant to do good deeds to be appreciated, you do them to help people. Anyone who films a good deed period has ulterior motives.
1:55 that's a huge problem I've noticed in my 10 years working in restaurants. I've noticed a lot of people glove their hands to protect themselves from the icky raw chicken not the customers from cross-contamination and wearthe same gloves all f****** day
I've worked with chefs who outlawed gloves in their kitchens to promote handwashing. There is a common misconception that gloves somehow make it so you don't have to wash hands
Whether it's university assignments, job applications or stuff like this. I've always held the idea that faking it is often more effort than just doing it.
100%. Last year I decided to translate a paper I’d written for one class to a different language for another class, and it took probably twice as long as it would’ve been to research and write a new paper. So many “shortcuts” are just extra steps for a worse outcome
the part that infuriates me the most for some reason is the fact that there was no need to actually get inside the bed full of ramen and do the whole bags on the feet thing they could have just mixed it from the outside
Yeah I am 27 and homeless after my parents died and it feels like they’re mocking us real homeless people. I’m sometimes lucky enough to sleep on a family friends couch every once in a while. I am working and about to go to school and I can’t tell you how many judgmental looks I get from people. Thanks for calling them out!
This shits got the energy of the fish guy (I think his name was Nat) on SpongeBob that Karen paid to eat at the chum bucket so Plankton would feel good about himself and to make Mr. Krabs think he was actually getting business lmao
Clout chaser: " Yes, let us feed the destitute as they are, like filthy swine piled upon the feeding trough." Holy hell, can you possibly be more foul of a human being than this, without being a billionaire first? This should be a Marie Anntoinette moment for the internet. How absolutely inhuman!
a long time ago there was a youtuber who did a "prank" by replacing the chocolate on a pack of chocolate filled cookies with toothpaste, the homeless guy got sick and after a lot of backlash that guy deleted the vid and donated some stuff to the homeless dude🗿
Eh you get used to it. In the pen there are no forks. Only plastic sporks with tines so dull you might as well not even have them to begin with. You learn to eat noodles with a glorified spoon very fast.
@@valkyrja-- and here I was thinking it was the fact that that was a nice looking metal teaspoon. Like that shit ain't cheap, the shittiest of metal tea spoons will run you at least a dollar each. Alongside the fact it's a ducking teaspoon.
"Does Ramen always have pepper?" "Nah, mate. That's the asphalt from the bottom of her shoes when she stepped in your food earlier. Don't worry. Her shoes are fine."
When you said they made ramen "in the back of their truck",I was thinking like a hotplate plugged into a cigarette lighter port. I never once thought 200 packs of ramen in the bed of a pick-up. Yikes 😬😳😬
The worst part is that they could have just as easily done it for real and still got the attention for it. I don't understand how anyone can become this obsessed with random people who they will never know or meet noticing at them. Edit: And of course I get bot comments that are doing the same thing.
They could have also easily gotten an actual large pot for the same price as the tarp and actually made something edible. Food waste like that should be severely booed. (Wonder if it's too cheeky to Domo Arigato every Bot...)
Based on how dry and dusty the environment was think about how much dust and debris that would of just fell into ramen while they were driving around even completely ignoring the random ass tarp and asphalt plastic shoe cover
Charlie has always been my go to channel for daily dose of internet drama. Love the way he composes these things into a bite-sized, easily digestible video.
The Black Shirt Charlie arc was truly one of the most intense and beautiful things I’ve witnessed. Don’t be sad that’s it’s over, be happy that it happened
To cover his medical bill for eating truck ramen, of course Just kidding, American Healthcare wouldn't get him spat on for $20, but he could get some peptobismal and pray
