It's been just over a year since I installed my TeraFlex Falcon 3.3 Adjustable Reservoir Shocks! How have they done? Which settings worked best out on the trails?

Have them on my jk 2 door. Make sure u have the Teraflex springs or else it won’t handle well. And if u can ya MUST buy the front pre runner speed bump stops and the rear pre runner weld speed bump stops. Drive 50-60 through the desert

I have a gladiator Rubicon I just purchased and trying to determine what shocks to get I’m looking for when I do long road trips I also tow a teardrop trailer but not all the time so I’m looking for on road handling on winding roads so I don’t stress out about the sway in the people behind me if that makes sense, but then I want to adjust when I get off road I’m considering these shocks but I’m also considering fox 2.5 adjustable shock and the 3.0 Fox adjustable they are expensive but I feel you get what you pay for, your thoughts thanks for the video👍👍

I'm not the biggest fan of FOX. I've seen too many come appart on the trails. Also, I'm from Canada, and FOX shocks get very hard in the cold. The Falcon's have been bullet proof on the trails and when it's -40C (Which is the same as -40F) they feel the same as when it's hot as balls in the summer. The adjustability of the Falcon's is super nice; I run them firm on the Highway (2.8-3.0) and Soft around town (1). On the trails; I run them in the medium (2.6) range and they're perfect. I cannot say enough good things about these shocks! You cannot go wrong with a set of Falcon SP2 3.3 Fast Adjust Piggyback Shock Kit for your JT! They are worth every penny and you won't regret it!

I am curious if you tested them in both 'normal' and 'soft' mode, which is only set during install by turning the shaft? Which one did you do?
@JustEmptyEveryPocket
@JustEmptyEveryPocket 8 месяцев назад
That’s an option on the SP2. These are the first gen 3.3s and don’t have that feature. I’m honestly not sure how useful a soft mode would be on a 2-door. On the trails I almost never use mode 1 because it’s too soft; lately I’ve been sticking to custom mode 2.2 - 2.4 and it’s been perfect on my trail runs. If you have a 4-door they might be worth the upgrade from the first generation. My 2024 budget is going to get blown on Dynatrac Pro Rock axles so I’m not planning on getting a set of SP2s anytime soon. If you’re looking to get your first set of Falcons though you can’t go wrong. They are kickass shocks!

Also heard from my dealer they use the 2d version for 4d. Because it is softer. And this matches with your feeling that setting 3 is to harsh. What springs do you have?
@JustEmptyEveryPocket
@JustEmptyEveryPocket 6 месяцев назад
Makes sense. I have the TeraFlex 3” coils. 1854102 in the rear and up front it’s the 1853102 I believe.

I bought a used 4-door JK that came with these shocks (non-sp2, with adjustments). I cannot tell the difference between any of the settings. They all kind of suck and washboards shake my Jeep to death unless I drastically air down to compensate. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
@JustEmptyEveryPocket
@JustEmptyEveryPocket 5 месяцев назад
Not being able to feel the difference isn’t normal. Contact TeraFlex technical support. As far as washboard…welcome to solid axle life. Also, what tires? Specifically, what load range are they? E for example will be quite unforgiving unless aired down…

A proper length shock will not hinder articulation in any way, no matter what mode you have it set to. The mode only changes valving, not shock length.
@JustEmptyEveryPocket
@JustEmptyEveryPocket 3 месяца назад
In TeraFlex’s own words “Mode 3 “resists bottoming out”. So yes it does affect articulation.
@mromero911

@@JustEmptyEveryPocketresists doesn’t mean it’ll prevents so while it stiffens up to resist bottoming out it can’t prevent it
