Jeff, nice job. I've struggled to briefly summarize what this group is about and makes them great, and you came up with it here, with the phrases re "serving the music", throwing all ego aside & working together to make the music as good as can be. This is a pretty simple song, but in so is great exposure to how well Sammie & Maggie can blend.

Their recent 100M views celebration video is a 80 minute interview and discussion with the band members. Nice down to earth people who still seem surprised by all the interest in their little group.

@@lynwessel2471 I saw that when it came out. I usually can't watch an interview for more than about 10 minutes. I easily got through the whole thing and enjoyed it.

The "Mean Margaret" back story: Maggie and Scott bantered back and forth a lot. One day Maggie and Sammie were discussing what they would wear for the next gig. Scott chimed in what should he wear? The lovely Maggie said teasing, "It doesn't matter Scott,they won't be looking at you anyway!" After that, to him she was always Mean Margaret or Meanie for short. Story goes about 8 years later she was working on something F&F related and needed something from him in VA. He mailed it to: Meanie (address) Nashville TN. Maggie says that nickname will be with her forever.

The thing that always gets me is that the girls were just teenagers when they were doing this. How can anyone be that talented at that age? Not me, for sure. But, boy, am I glad they were!

it is an incongruous location, but as you say none of that matters because they just keep on truckin' and having a good time. how they record it as well as they do is a little feat in itself. 😉 when i watch them playing this open air venue it evokes memories of being in a high school rock band in a VT ski town during the early '60s. my father was our manager and he got us a seasonal gig playing the Saturday night teen dance at the base lodge for $1.00/head at the door. parents would drop their kids off for the evening and go do things that parents do without kids when on holiday, and we would play till 11:00 pm. to promote the evening show they would set up a stage near the lift line, and we would do a set outside on Saturday afternoons in the dead of winter for skiers waiting to ride up the mountain for a run.🤣 we couldn't afford a roadie yet either, and so we had to set up and break it down twice for one gig. 😥 the things people do to be in a rock and roll band. 😁 ☮❤🙏😎

Full weekend of F&F!! It's a great band, especially in the vocal parts. Furthermore, a good part of the videos analyzed are from the time that I like the most, a few years ago. So it's been a pleasure. Thanks Jeff
