Fallout 4 - Building at County Crossing 06 (Side Gate, Hillside Home and Power Shed) 

Thanks! Admittedly I only ever show my builds once I have planned and worked everything out. The planning stages are far less smooth than what the videos show, lots of building and tearing stuff down and will often get halfway through builds only to scrap it all and start over (did this 3 times before settling on a layout for Vault 88). Probably for the best that I have never wanted to stream my build process, I would probably drive people nuts 😅🤣

Thanks! I must admit I used to think of pre-placing foundation pieces to use as snap points as ‘cheating’. My builds are often aligned and anchored off a single structure (such as the ruined house here at CC) and learned a valuable lesson during my Outpost Zimonja build. I had ever so slightly misaligned my ‘anchor point’ in the first part which resulted in the rest of my planned build no longer fitting within the build borders, forcing me to scrap three recorded videos and start from scratch 😳😅.

Thank you! I feel the build is really starting to come together. If I can stop being lazy will hopefully have it all decorated and finished off this weekend... that and the 'update' does not manage to sneak through and break my game 😱😅.

Thanks! Seeing as I spent 3 months working on Vault 88 I dread to think how long Spectacle Island is going to take… its definitely my ‘final boss’ of settlements 😱😅

Also, if you want to place a railing on the outer walls, you can place a small floor, snap the railing, delete the floor, then place the wall. 15:11

Thanks! Due to Bethesda’s baffling decision to place spawn points inside settlements the very first mod I ever installed for the game was _No Settlement Attacks_ 😉👍

These building vids pre-planned and practiced before I record them. I plan out a settlement by building a rough version first and then rebuild it and record the process, this second version is then decorated and used for the finished build tour.

Thanks! I have yet to try SS2 but have always thought it looks like an awesome mod, it’s something I have been saving for when normal settlement building loses it charm 👍.

No plans on what’s next... still got to get this place done first! 😅😉

Apart from trying to learn how to improve my building the main goal of this playthrough was to create a save where I had built up every settlement, but could still be loaded without any mods installed and still have the settlements fully intact. As a side bonus it also allows people who use my blueprints are not forced to download a bunch of additional mods.

I'm hoping with fo4 getting an update on April 25 they'll fix and add to the workshop mode, which would include the mods you and others use just without cancelling achievements

Thanks! I wish I could share people’s optimism for the ‘update’. Sorry to say but from reading the patch notes I think many are going to be disappointed.

Thank you! The mod I use to export my builds as blueprints is PC only as it requires the script extender to work. I also don’t own an Xbox (or any current gen console 😳) and would not be comfortable releasing something that I could not check and test myself.
