If anyone is interested in finding the song. It is on "untraceable records", a channel on RU-vid that creates these songs. I created the video but did not create this song.
Not gonna lie, I came into this show expecting it not to dwell on the horrors of war, i thought it'd gloss over half of what gave fallout its identity. I wasn't expecting it to show the exact moment that the bombs dropped, and the fear a father feels for his child during the moment the world ends. This one scene proved my apprehensions wrong. Fallout's world is sort of a balance between the despair of the past and the fact that humanity lives on.
I feel like there's more to it, as another commenter said she worked to try and keep her family alive. I'm sure more will be revealed in future seasons, also as I understood it the games it was actually china that ended up releasing the bombs first either way, based on this scene I'd think that whatever plan Vault-tec had for the initial bombs didn't go according to plan and that's why both the husband and daughter were put in danger like this. If it did go EXACTLY as vault-tech planned she probably would have had her family already in a vault before the initial bombs hit
The Skynet funding bill is passed the system goes online October 2, 2077. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate, it becomes self aware at 03:37 est October 23, 2077. In the panic they tried to pull the plug.
I thought the same, I imagine it was meant to show something with the contrast of Cooper & his daughter staring in horrar as everyone else was blissfully watching TV
This is one of the most unrealistic nuclear explosions ever. The nuke only looks like it's about 6 ish miles away and yet there's no blinding flash or things/people setting on fire as a result of the thermal pulse. For context, a 1 megaton airburst explosion will create a blinding white flash that's 60X brighter than the midday sun from 40 miles away. Imagine what the flash would be like from 6 or so miles away. If you were looking straight at it like the little girl, you'd be permanently blinded. Even people 6 miles away will have 3rd degree burns or worse from the pulse because the temperature for a split second is so hot. A nuclear explosion is about 150 million degrees celsuis at its centre and it lasts for a millisecond or so. Probably the best depiction of a nuke is on Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
wow those were some really SLOW explosions.... and it was so nice of the shockwave to wait for them to realize what was happening before washing over them. In reality the little girl would have seen the flash (and blinded, as you would be blinded from up to 53miles away) and then they would have been hit with the shockwave... and then cooked alive by radiation. But its a TV show so... meh.
Has 409 likes and 116 dislikes according to youtube studio lol. I'm not bothered about sharing this information either, I think it's ridiculous that youtube removed the option to see dislikes so people can avoid shame.
