Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

I have happy childhood memories of going to the Mennonite/Amish Farmers Market with my Dad and his father when I was little. Always a home baked treat along with cheeses and smoked meats.

Hi, Frey Family! 👨‍👩‍👦 Can Eli sit un propped/supported in his high chair yet? If not, what has your pedi' team suggested what can be done to strengthen his back muscles? I’m concerned. Also, has anyone suggested a scattering of cheerios on his tray to help him focus and boost his fine motor skills. It’s fascinating watching him zero in on just one piece and pick it up with just finger and thumb (not his fist) then get a taste. 🤏🏻 👌🏼 🤌🏻 Ahh, the joys of finger foods! Yay, no spoons of mush. By the time it’s all the way in it’s so wet it slides right down, no chewing required! No danger.😛😋 Love to you all, Patricia from NH, 👵🏻😘❤️

We are only seeing like 10 min of their life and we also only see them mainly when he is napping. Also babies do things at their own speed, even if he is delayed that is none of our business.

These are not kind things to ask. Children all develop at their own speed. Let’s say he is delayed, do you think it makes them feel good to point it out?

Even if he is developmentally delayed, they get to choose what and when they tell us. Their child’s development is between them and their pediatrician.

Remember their a month behind filming so this was filmed in August. If he is delayed with Mary's background I am sure she is aware and handling it.

Please, please dont make him sit! I have a son born on december 16th and in august he was rolling over and crawling. Now he is standing. Without our help. Please visit the physiotherapist and pediatrician for advice. I am a pediatrician and i could not stand watching that he is so behind.

@@trista2873 i did not say that. I just meant that at 8 month he definitely should be rolling over,at least. And the child's development depends a lot on our manipulation. To make a child sit is wrong and it is scientifically proven.

Their child’s development is between them and their pediatrician. They should not have to justify their parenting decisions to us.

I am a medical student and I have noticed many signs on Eli in the last months... It is just an advice, they should search what's going on so as they can be able to face it in the best way...

Who cares about science he his doing just fine and will do what he wants when he wants. And he is ready!! Babies are not text books!!
