Governor very important as I think you have realized, Dan and M old time , said as well ! It is out of adjustment or needs rebuilt. On mine I found governor to be in balance so I got slop out of linkage and has been doing good! Jan you might want to found a shop manual to help on getting your tractor up to par ! Happy New Year my friend !
Hi Scotty, I believe it is a broken spring inside the governor, I have a manual for it but will only give attention to it once we are settled in Cape Town, thanks very much for your support through 2017 and a happy 2018 for you my friend
Jan, Although it may appear to work that way it really is NOT GOOD for the tractor. The Governor Must work independently in accordance with the strain on the engine. Too Much is just as bad as too little. I posted about 4 Videos from start to finish regarding my Governor problems, I hope you watched them all. The Bearing and Spring inside your Governor is worn out I Believe just like mine was.
Yes Dan I watched your video;s that was what bring my attention back to the throttle problem from the beginning, for now until we moved to the Cape and have time I will fix the butterfly to just let the tractor idle, Your video's helped a lot, thanks for watching
the way you have the extra rod hooked up, the governer isn't doing any good at all, it hard to see just how it's supposed to go by not seeing both sides of the tractor and the generator is also in the way of seeing how it is set up.
You are 100% right, I removed that extra rod again and will not put it back, I checked MrDanOcconnor video;s , I need to replace that spring, thanks for your help
