New farmertec 372 upgrades, and differences are shown here in this video. Better revisions have been made. Hopefully this will last longer and perform better than the previous models, and of course I had to add a Cpi Racing exhaust pipe.
I just got my G288 a couple days ago. Havent started it yet but it came without a scratch on the box. Seen the hydro dipped when I bought mine. Quite a bit more expensive for the dip. Cheers
It's more that just a color scheme. They come with a Walbro carb, Italian Nikasil plated cylinder, Meteor piston and Caber piston ring. I just received mine Tuesday and did some mild porting on it. It's pretty decent.
Two questions... is the fuel mix really 25:1 like the specs say? And the blue/orange vs Pro is about a $150 difference. Functionally, is it worth the difference?
The blue and orange are the same saw. The Pro is well worth the extra $150. With the Pro many of the second rate parts have been replaced with much better quality.
For initial set in I used 32:1 for two tanks and will be running 40:1 indefinitely. 25:1 is too much, because it will build too much heat which can croak the saw.
I use 40:1 and have had excellent results for 40 years now. I would think at 25:1 you'll make more carbon in the cylinder than wood chips on the ground.
@alanmeyers3957I 'm currently running 50:1 trufuel in mine, but I just fired it up for the first time today.... will let ya know how it goes. Wish me luck lol
Rocky Mountain Chainsaw I too just buy new stuff to give the kids some boxes and bubble wrap to play with. I look forward to your 660 video. I’ve been on the fence with buying one of these saws for a few years and the upgrades convinced me on this pro model. How long did shipping take on yours? Thanks
@@cowcatcher9186 took a few weeks, I ordered 20 saws. 10 of each pro series models. Along with lots of other needed parts. The 660 has a nice protective plate on the bottom that I wish the 372 had.
All I can say is they look ok. Ive had a general lack of service/support. Nothing but issues when trying to get them to deal with damaged / broken parts or wrong parts being sent. Durability is very lacking in crank cases, as the crank bearing pockets stretch and won't hold the crank bearings, results in seals failing, air leaks seized saws, plastic is pretty brittle and breaks easy, screws are soft and break, or the holes for the screws strip out very easily. Might look good in pics, but Neotec 372 and 066 are more durable and better built for the money. Afleetcommand has done tons of videos on their stuff over the years, might be work a look before you spend the $ on these. Good luck.
@@justinterrell9555 Hi Justin, I,m guessing that the full wrap they offer would be like the ones from the NON Xtorq models since their G372, is a replica of the Original 372 XP,s( Non-Xtorq). Good way to tell the difference between an original 372 XP and a 372 Xtorq is the decompression valve comes out the side of the cylinder head on the 372XP Non-Xtorqs and on the Xtorqs the Decomp comes out of the top of the cylinder next to the spark plug on an angle. Hope that info helped.....
Yeah I have 2 original editions 372s if I put a full wrap on one I just didn't want the one for the xtorq because it's alittle taller not that it really matters but it does to me I guess. Lol.
@@rockymountainchainsaw awesome, I’ll keep an eye out for it. It’s been a toss up between a 660 and 444, the improvements on the carbon models maybe be the selling point for me
@@jason3211 I don't like the Stihl clones. I have a bunch of the husky 372 clones. Including the pro model couple real huskys too I plan to make a video about longevity and quality of the saws. Since I've had one 372 clone for well over 2 years and 70 plus gallons thru it
"A few things they don't tell you about it". Oh yeah, like the anemic oil pump and junk chain adjuster on my new G660 PRO? Farmertec would have done much better to resolve these two longstanding problems rather than the pretentious faux carbon fiber paint. They've lost me for future purchases and recommendation.
i can not stomach the idea of buying from china is the bad thing and the other thing is the crazy gas oil mix here we have the 40:1 or more common 50:1 mix these blue saws want a 24:1 mix i think it was at the time i looked at them 3 or 4 years ago
