They are honest it’s just people don’t always weigh or have proper measuring implements available to them do that’s why I showed a few options as it’s easy to be heavy handed when we think something is more or less if that makes sense. I know here in Australia all packaged food items by law have to have all the macros and nutritional information listed
@@fast800journeylifebeyond5 I eat oatmeal everyday for breakfast I don't use scales to count calories I always use measuring cups and spoons so on the package of oatmeal it does say 150 calories for a half cup serving but on your video it showed that the half a cup serving doesn't match the serving in weight so does that mean I've been eating more than 150 calories every day for my oatmeal? I don't weigh my food with the scale because it kind of confuses me that's why I use measuring cups and spoons but now it seems like measuring food by the serving size on the label doesn't match the same calories as weighing the food that's what makes it so confusing and frustrating!
Are you in Australia ? If not your measurements may be different to here ? I’m going by what my packet says but then I weigh that or measure it hence the video but end of day it should really all be the same i would think no matter where you are ? I can’t see them fibbing tho so maybe stick with what you have been doing and trusting the package
@@fast800journeylifebeyond5 I'm in the USA but I think they're not very honest with the food labels here, I got curious and started watching other videos on the dishonesty of food labels and it's very surprising very upsetting! I want to measure my calories correctly but now I feel like I can't even trust the labels and the serving size, I don't want to use a food scale because it's kind of a hassle and don't really understand them but seems like the serving sizes that go by cups and spoons are not very honest here in US
