@@aarongarcia5667 no shit, did you figure that out from the background? :O he’s referring to push ups and different variations are usually jail workout routines, dummy. What do you think they do all day.
Except when he said “want to get the split? Diamonds” there’s no specific exercise that trains the middle of your chest like that. It’s only upper and lower pec. Diamond don’t do anything for that.
@@wat5709 ok, that’s what I thought. I didn’t think it did much for the chest. Different push-ups is good if you don’t want bulk. Lean and strong is aways been better for me. Everyone is different tho
The wide push ups is what going to sculp and form your chest, every other push will help build. Start with either regular or wide then watch Nature take place. 💪🏾
@@marvaff6878 No nonsense. 1 minute more information, most importantly good information than you get from someone making a 10-20 video. With so much filler in between you forget what kind of pushups were shown.
If u really want to get strong do a set a push ups at the top of every hour at work. I used to do 50 push ups every hour. The day would go by fast and I would do 350 a day. 2 to 3 months you will Have insane muscle recovery and hella strength on chest workouts in the gym. Also super set every workout u do at the gym with 10 to 15 push ups. Let’s get it 💪🏾
I have continued to think that pushups, with 2-3 second isometric holds would be good to forearm, tricep and wrist strength. So maybe two pushups, three second holds until near failure. Chest touches to pushup is another good example, or 10-15 pushups and then a plank until failure.
Your content is not the typical garbage service that is given to us. Your shared experience and knowledge is very much and truly appreciated 🙏 💯 keep it up
First time i had a coach mention “burnouts” i thought we were gonna run. Wish I’d have seen my own reaction…14 year old me doing 40 short pushups for the first time 😅 I was CRUSHED 🤣
Pike push-ups is for your shoulders not your chest, the only push-ups that help you is regular (make sure you breath in when you go down and breath out when you go up) and diamond pushups
@Jackie Chan If you squeeze your chest it means that you are focusing on it, you can focus on a muscle even tho the exercice you are doing isnt the best for that muscle
The pipe ones where you get in the V shape has helped me the most. Also turning your hands in towards each other. I never did that unless I was doing diamonds, but I do it all the time now
@@WeGetLoansApproved it's primarily a shoulder movement but also great for the serratus anterior and triceps. It doesn't really hit the upper chest because almost all the load is on the shoulders and triceps (the clavical connects the sternum to the shoulders so this isn't technically chest either).
@@adamcarlton3312 I’m kind of an old-school workout guy, but your comment made me check the new school just to make sure that something hasn’t changed, in regards to terms. Pike push-ups still work the chest as a secondary muscle as long as you’re doing them correctly. There are many charts that still show this.
I remember my first time trying diamond pushups. I was like 8 years old back in the early 2000s… came down too fast and chipped my tooth. It was then I knew I wasn’t going to be a pro athlete
Shorties is good only if u doing high reps if u just doing 10 your waisting ur time. Me personally I don’t do them I don’t get anything from it but that’s me.
Shorties is good money We did those all the time in the yard. I ain’t do no full extension push ups only shorties. You gotta do a lot of ‘em. 60-80 a rep an work your way up to 700-900 a day. Good money and you be ripped to the core.
I’ve done diamond pushups for years and never realized they hit your inner chest. For some reason it always felt like they hit my shoulders or back. The waist push-ups and those weird yoga ones I’ve never seen. I’ll try them tonight thanks.
This was informative as hell my man, thank you so much. I wear above the knee shorts too, and people used to pick on them til my thighs got rather large 😅🤣
@@ElDoDo87to me is more like everyone think working out is about getting your muscles smashed no matter what without having lots of concepts in consideration. Then, when someone who has invested time in investigating and study the whole time comes, they try to prove you wrong and they just simply can't lol. Idk at least thats the way I see it.
This is really informative, showing the different kinds of push-ups and all, but I also wanna know how many set and reps are recommended/how many seconds work, and rest? Good vid regardless, just wanna be better informed👍
An old U.S. Surgeon General warned about doing (diamond) pushups a long time ago. Best to separate hand position a few inches out from touching to avoid the potential for shoulder joint injury. I stopped doing diamonds way back when I first read this.
I’m so amped I came across your RU-vid shorts. As a beginner, I got to a certain point, w my previous exercises, where they weren’t doin jack shit for me, anymore, so I just doubled my amount of reps, but kept the same exercises. I ended up slightly injuring my left trap. I haven’t done diamond push ups in 17 years, but decided to try em’ for the 1st time again, this morning. I followed your 10 reps regimine and did diamond push ups, 10 sets of 10 reps and did crunches, 10 sets of 10 reps, also. trap, albeit a little tender, still, hasn’t bothered me, really, at all, today. my goal is to get back to being able to do my daily exercise routine from highschool. diamond push ups, 8 sets of 25 reps, and crunches, 8 sets of 25-50 reps. I’m so amped to be able to do the exercises I did in highschool, again, and work my way back to being able to do the exact same amount of reps per set that I did in highschool. Thank you x 1,000! Subscribed and turned on all Notifications. Looking forward to seeing what you got in store for future shorts and videos! 💪😤🤙
For real man I just started doing the variations I watched on another video you were explaining in more detail. Game changer, thanks for putting out all those dynamic exercises for us to get shredded. They're kicking my behind but I like the challenge ✌️
There are also indian style push-ups called 'Dand' there you perform with 3 different positions and combine them in 1 pushup faster and they are really effective.
