Fasting for Marriage, guidance and breakthrough is a great video for those who would like to find out more about fasting and for Christian singles who desire marriage or who are looking for guidance and/or breakthrough in various areas of their life. Amazing, you've given me a new drive & desire to fasting, though I have some health challenges that puts me on medications constantly but I still trust God to find my own fasting pattern.

Hi! Great video! Can you please make a video about faith? How to build stronger faith in God? I am over 35 years, no children, want to be married. Did you have a feeling that your husband will found you? Did you have a doubt? Hi Ana Maria, thank you for your lovely comment. I definitely plan to do a video on faith soon as its such an important aspect of our Christian life . Initially i worried about how my husband would find me and if i would know him when we met but as i deepened my relationship with God and my faith grew I trusted that God knew what to do to bring my husband and i together at the right time. My faith and trust in God did not happen overnight, it grew as i continued to read and believe what the bibble said and as i trusted God in the small things and saw that he was faithful. Don't be afraid, keep your trust in God, he has promised he will not fail you. God bless & take care

Another great video. I've waited so long for this video. I kept checking all through last week for a new video from this channel. It was worth the wait. I particularly liked the part she addressed the aspect of praying with God's word during our fast. The Bible says He watches over his words to perform. We need to say his words back to him. As a single woman who has just stepped into the 30s, I have learned to stop seeking answers to the stream of questions about what I didn't have and seek God more about the plan He has for me - and be willing to embrace it whilst still laying all of my desires before Him. Good morning Sis.Funke, I am really encouraged by your video. Despite the fact that I had been a born again Christian, for 23 years. I recently started finding it difficult to to fast, despite the fact that I have changed from membership of a local church that is non charismatic, to another which is very much so. I'm now 43 years old. I noticed I began finding it difficult to fast and pray for longer than 3PM (till 6PM), and for many days for consistency. I feel ashamed of this difficulty, particularly because over here in Africa, keeping the faith is normal. Besides, I have an age long reputation for being a sincere Christian. This video was the first pop up, when I typed in your name, not long ago. Please, I really need your prayers! Moreover, I ought to focus well on my consecration, as I am called for the ministry. I suffer often because, I am surrounded by the wrong persons, outside of Church set up! I dislike to mention this, over here in Africa, cryptic witchcraft is rather legendary! I'm fighting to stand up, against that, rather alone (apart from my Pastor's help! ).

Hi Omolola, thank you for your honest comment. It is well! Don't allow yourself to feel condemned for not fasting or praying long enough. The Bible tells us that condemnation is not from God. Talk to God about it and ask him to reveal to you if there are any things causing this eg discouragement, frustration, unforgiveness etc ask him to help you address any issues he may reveal. Be encouraged as a child of God you have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness. Even though the devil may try through witchcraft and other means to oppress and derail us, we are victorious in Christ. Keep meditating over scriptures that show you that the Devil and witchcraft has no power over you. I will pray for you. It is well, God is very much in control. God bless & take care

Hi Funke, thanks so much for this helpful video. Was your 40 day fast also a dry fast? (of course breaking each day at 5/6pm). And also I note you mentioned attending a prayer camp where you prayed from midnight to 3am? What's your view on praying during these hours and do you still practice this? Ps. Hi Omolola, with God nothing is impossible. Pray about it and stand in faith that Jesus Christ took away all your sickness and disease on the cross. It is not God's will for any of his children to be sick or infirm in any way. Don't give up, God is faithful. God bless & take care

Hi Jordan, thank you for your question. Don't give up on the fasting. Make sure that you are also praying scripture based prayers for your marriage. Find about 5-7 scriptures that are relevant to what you are seeking God for and use them to pray. Pray daily and also praise and thank God for intervening in your marriage etc. You may not see any changes in your marriage yet but you are doing this by faith. God is faithfull. I hope this helps. Allow me to ask,let's say you are fasting for marriage,job,financial breakthrough etc... eg if its job,does it mean during that fast I should just concentrate on job prayer only or is it ok to add other needs in the prayer request..?

Hi Victoria, yes it is ok to fast on Sundays. Some people like to take a day off from fasting on Sundays and have a rest day but if you feel led to fast on a sunday there is nothing wrong with that. God bless & take care

Hi Sam, thanks for the question. Yes you can fast for more than 1 thing. The important thing is to find scriptures relevant to what you are fasting for, these will help you pray during the fast and you can meditate on these scriptures to help build your faith. God bless & take care

She said she became a born again Christian at 30. Got married at 35, been married 14 years, that makes her about 50 now. She also said she has 4 kids. It's immaterial when the video was posted, she is just sharing her own experience. I hope you found encouragement, I certainly did. Be blessed🤗

I think it is far better for them to be married than to be tortured by unsatisfied desire." I Cor. 7:9 J.B. Phillips, [Translated directly from the Greek.] "Tortured by unsatisfied desire"? I take this as God created natural desires for the opposite sex. This so God gets what he wants..... "godly offspring" through marriage. Malachi 2:15. At the same time, God can't pick people's spouses... to do so, he would violate your volition. In doing so, God would violate himself. (And it is not a sin to "break-off" an engagement (I Cor. 7:36-38). If God picked your spouse, and you broke-up an engagement, it would be sin. Yet, the Apostle Paul states that it is not a sin to break-off an engagement.) Thus, God created "attraction." And attraction gets people together. Pick up that phone, and call someone of interest, and say, "random hello." Then, see where it goes. This sure beats "waiting, waiting, waiting on God", then after a long time, a "non-virgin's" sensual desires overtake them, and they have sex (again) outside of marriage. Like a rubber band that is stretched and breaks! (The Apostle Paul used the word, "sensual" in I Timothy 5:11.) Pick up that phone. Paul wrote in I Cor. 7 to non-virgins, basically if you can't control yourself get married. Paul didn't say, "pray, pray, pray, pray.... fast... fast... fast away" your desire for a mate. (Fasting is good), Paul said there was no rules, or procedures of man that will stop "sensual indulgence" Colossians 2:23. His only answer for those that cannot control themselves is to get married. Pick up that phone!!!! :) Fall into grace... see forgiveness, grasp it, give it... pick up that phone and get into a relationship that leads to engagement. Also... note the distinction in I Corinthians 7:25. "Now as for virgins, I have no command from the Lord." In other words, the first 24 verses were for whom? For new Christians that were non-virgins, and the married. To them in verses 1-24, Paul is telling the new Christian that were "non-virgins" to get married if they can't control themselves. Sad, but some Christians that are non-virgins put upon themselves the "I'm devoting myself to God", from verses AFTER I Corinthians 25. The verses after v. 25 apply to virgins. If you have had sex, you don't have the "gift of singleness." How then to keep a marriage strong? Not by picking or being the perfect person... but Paul again comes through.... by a young married couple meeting with an older married couple. (Titus 2). Pick up that phone! Have fun.... best to keep it pure.... Did I mention, "pick up that phone"?
