Slightly puzzled why your using Carbon for the mould. Given it needs thickness to gain stiffness, wouldn’t classic fiberglass CSM be vastly more cost effective, and also less risk of weave imprint ? Unless you are planning on using this mould in an Autoclave and want to match composite expansion properties : but that would need to be a very large autoclave. Did I miss something in your earlier videos ?

There are a couple of reasons to use a carbon fiber mold vs your standard CSM or fiberglass mold. Most CSM contain a binder that does not dissolve in epoxy so you would have to use polyester or vinyl ester which have lower temp allowances than a high temp epoxy. This mold is being made for a prepreg carbon part and high temps are a must. Since fiberglass and carbon expand and contract differently in the heating process it is best to use like products to avoid distortion.
