happy to see the devs adding more guns that have useful niches in combat and looting. it's cool that you can hold on to 9x39 now and actually get a chance to use it, the same as you would pick up 5.56 and hope to loot an m16.
I don’t think the suppressed nature of the VSS/ASVAL is OP, I think it’s the standard suppressors that need a buff. They wear out too quickly. Improvised suppressor is fine though.

also glad you took into consideration that not EVERY GUN needs to be amazing, it just needs to fill its roll and by the looks of this new addition I would say the general census is that the 30rd Mag is more highly looked at over the gun itself.
This is perfect for a new mid tier Assualt rifle, because we just had the M16 and the baby AK. I'm curious about the "recoil adjustments for several firearms" mentioned in the patch notes. maybe it will shake up the meta a little bit

I appreciate the "SR-3M" designation WOBO 👌😉 But what really angers me, like usual, the devs, knowing damn well that the SR-3M is fielded with it's own specific suppressor as it's literally the intention of 9x39 (and 12.7x55 in the VSSK/VKS Exhaust, shAK-12, and RSh-12) to be SUBSONIC to be SUPPRESSED..... and yet again, the devs refuse to include it. Speed loaders, bipods, folding stocks, suppressors, my damn Groza-4 (again, promised, in 9x39, and never returning our still missing weapons), and my underbarrel grenade launchers....they need to step it up 😑😤🙄
They should add more optics, sights and scopes, because I don't know about you but I've never been a fan of any of the Eastern Optics, and I only like a few Western Optics most of them have odd glare problems or odd reticles. Like how the "ATOG" has a thick yellow cross, and the P1 "Optic" reticle which looks horrendous and gives me a headache to look down.
I wonder why they added the vikhr over the groza already in the files, I guess so they can partly reuse the animations but it is kinda odd to ignore so much content just sitting there though.
they have a lot more unused content we have yet to see. For example all the new knifes were mades years before they were added to the game but for the community it was a surprise. So while for us we only see a few items left still unused, they still have quite a big backlog of content they could just throw. For example they are yet to release the viking axe :b

Ya ive really wished the would add passengers of cars like the bus can shoot.and yes theirs been the m249 in back files fir years witch just needed a visual fix and probably Stat change
It's nice to see the devs flesh out the more neglected cartridges. Makes me hope they'll work on some of the other bullet types that only have two or three guns, adding something like an MGV 176 for .22LR, an SVT for 7.62x54 or an MP-153 for 12 gauge
I have been wishing for a civilian semi auto shotgun for years… the mp-153 would be perfect and a great addition to the game. I’ve never been good at pvp lol so shotguns are my go too in dayz, and a semi auto tier 1 shotgun would be awesome. Heck I would probably never get rid of it lol.
@@jakerton97I don't think it should be tier 1. A semi auto shotgun is a really OP weapon for CQB, which is why the the Saiga is Tier 3-4 and the only other shotty that can let out more than one shot back-to-back is the BK-43, which is balanced by the fact it can only hold 2 rounds. I think a gun like this should be a stepping stone between the coastal shotties and the Vaiga, so maybe have a more common Tier 3 alternative to the Saiga or at most Tier 2-3
I think rifle with ap rounds is great for clearing buildings. Much smaller so they don't raise as much round corners and the dps is really good on armour.
Thank you for clarifying the weapons meta list. 9x39AP underperforms on paper, until you take into account a real scenario. I still believe the M4A1 is marginally better due to magazine capacity. The VSS/ASVAL definitely fill a niche for minimalists who don't want to carry multiple weapon repair kits to fix a NATO suppressor, while still having one of the highest DPS weapons in the game.
Love the Wobs but blah blah blah… still rocking the guns I prefer and doing fine. The KA 101 and the VSG. A 9mm silenced pistol for the infected. Stats drats, I am comfortable with these weapons and they have done me well in my battles. Still gonna watch every video Wobs releases though. Keep on keeping on you absolute beast!
So if you shoot someone with plate carrier, it removes 30% of that bullet damage from health and same 30% from durability? Or 30% from health and 100% (of the damage you would take unprotected) from durability?
Vss and sval are not supposed to shoot long distance, it was designed as a covert urban sniper rifle for spec ops assassins it has sub sonic bullets with massive damage and unclips into pieces so that it can fit into a Russian business man's briefcase go up to the top floor or across from another building and kill a politician/businessman then put it back together and leave unseen, that vikhr is a sub machine gun but uses the same rounds because they cause massive damage when hit the target it doesn't need to be long range it's for clearing buildings.......
I'm still convinced they need ot revert to the old 9x39ap for these weapons to hold any value other then initial pick ups, the ap was what compensated for the short range, low capacity and high arc/low velocity nature of the gun.
it's so absurd that WOBO has so much info about this game while Dayz itself only tells you eating raw food is bad. From different gun sounds depending on the area to bullet penetration, every update I come back to learn more about the game
It's interesting to know there's so many hidden stats, but what difference does the knowledge make when most rifles KO an armored player in exactly 2 shots?
@@Mephitinae The damage is based on bullet speed. This number you get is not at any distance. So yeah, no one could survive a rifle shot at 50 meters, I don't mind that
@@thiagorodrigues5211 Yeah, but to me it makes zero difference which gun has the better stats, because they all have the exact same effect when pointed at a player. I only care which gun is faster for raiding.
@@Mephitinae you should check wobo's website about damage per distance. Vests are far more relevant when it comes to distance. But making it able to handle rifle bullets is far from realistic
I'm not too worried about DayZ Metas, I get most of my kills on Vanilla with Tier 2-3 weapons like MP5K, AK-74, but I'll consider running it if I have the ammo and mags now. I usually dumped T4+ stuff because weapons hard to find.
I think more than 4 of the new mags spawn per server because I found one at the supply drops at NWAF and 4 at Tisy, granted I was loot cycling and it was an extremely dead server
wobo u got a tool to see how many durability different items have? for example hp of a 30 round mag compared to a 75 round mag, suppressors,car parts,cloth and when is the best time to rapair things, etc and they spawn with different hp? so a worn mag could be a damaged one almost do i smell a new huge video here ? a tool would be really nice to have
I found this rifle a few days ago. But it had a 10rd clip in it.... i havent found a scope for it yet. So its locked up at my base with my Vss and LAR and m79 ect. If i can find another 30rd clip and a scope ill use it.. but its kinda pointless with only 10rd and no scope lol.. so i still with the bizon and M16 and ka74 n ka74u.. its a odd looking rifle like the le mas which i also got as well.
bullet rarity is important on namalsk, with how easy it is to find 5.56 compared to any other bullet type, it almost makes no sense to not shoot a 5.56 gun, would definitely like to give the 30rd 9x39 mag a go on the sval tho, would be something different
I really don’t appreciate the 9x39 family I turn my nose up even when I have the opportunity to loot them. I can’t hit a moving target pass 50 meters and if I’m fighting in a hallway or building the Val is better than nothing but I’d rather the bk or m16 and just hope I maneuvered the barrel right lol.
they should add more meaningful customization and possibly more types of each round, I've been kind of disappointed for years and years that AP rounds basically do nothing realistic - can you imagine if the weapon modding options and ammo types were even a little bit closer to something like tarkov? Maybe just a tiny bit like that but you could find just more attachments to make your gun look and operate just how you want it to, and there could be a better armor system as well as more realistic AP rounds for most calibers making them all potentially viable in a pinch. maybe even toss in hollow point style rounds for vastly improved damage against infected and at least a slight bump to damage on non-armored body parts
My only issue is the ammo is so hard to find compared to something like 5.56mm, which is very strange when the map is set in Eastern Europe and should be mostly Soviet style weapons. Similar to how you can walk into a little grandma's house in a small Soviet style village and find a Desert Eagle or a Magnum.
I find it good and bad for one finding these aint hard official or community the sval and vss are all around tisy and rarely top on the airfield hill baracks same as there ammo so for me its my new Favorit weapon because most of my fights are inside CQB Situations because of living inside cherno so having this very short barreled gun is a blessing

once dead you cannot hear any sounds including the shot which killed you. However desync can happen causing this bug which allows you to still hear the sound of your death
It shouldn't accept the AK suppressor but should instead have its own Vikhr suppressor added, like a lot of the other guns imo. Having a one fits all suppressor doesn't make sense for pretty much most of the guns in the game and I'd personally prefer weapon specific suppressors that are harder to find but more durable and actually look like their real life counterparts

I understand it’s not “real” but it’s perfectly believeable that Ak manufactured suppressor would fit an ak looking gun. To add the amount of complexity you are talking about just seems. Redundant to me. For the problems it would cause and the gameplay expeience it would hinder. It’s already bad enough we have to find 1, gun 2, ammo 3, mag. Which already makes it difficult as is. But now 4, special suppressor for specific gun? Come on now Realism for realism sake is not fun
@LakevusParadice idk, I feel like it makes massive amounts of sense when you think about the fact it has 2 bigger brothers with built in suppressors already, having it have its own proprietary suppressor wouldn't be a big deal, as you could just use the ASVAL or VSS if you really care that much - and both are better weapons anyway. If you wanna make it more akin to its brothers, it should make sense balance wise that it doesn't use the AK suppressors, plus the logical reason of "9x39 too big for suppressor"
The rifle is originaly called "Вихр" which whould transliterate to "Vikhr" as in game but it is pronounced more like "Vihr" where H is pronounced like H in "Hue"
All of these weapons have 1 thing in common, they one-shot kill /uncon you, ending the fight, ending the fun. I'd like to see the devs work on ways to survive gunfights more, either by raising the health pool of players, or making armor and helmets for effective at mitigating damage.
And on a side note from my previous comment, I won't be hunting down the SR-3M due to it not including, or being able to fit a suppressor, more specifically, it's own dedicated suppressor....but I will be hunting down that 30rd mag, as I'm on a glorious custom map currently that reminds me a lot of Taviana, super hardcore, super low loot, and while all the 9x39 spawns on an island chain that's a long distance away, and once there, it's a 6km walk across the island to hit random, sparse military installments dotted around and hidden, I'm running an AS VAL and a SVD.... plenty of 7.62x54, and I have about 200rds of 9x39 I've saved up to run the VAL, only having those tiny 20rd mags absolutely sucks, especially when that specific island is inhabited by bears 😅
I dont get why they chose that stupid way of ignoring the bullet when the vest becomes ruined. A vest that is not ruined before SHOULD protect the player to some degree, as it is not ruined to begin with. It's not hard to set this up in a mathematically sensible manner, either - you just need to have a modifier (a fraction) that takes into the account how much durability is left compared to the durability damage that bullet inflicts on the vest. If the remaining durability is half of what it must be to "tank" the bullet, the reduced health loss should also be half of what it would have been with a better condition vest.
It's round is larger than the 7.62 or 5.45 rounds used in Warsaw spec firearms, you'd just end up with an immediately useless suppressor, and barrel damage
@@packwolf445The idea that a suppressor can be used interchangeably for 7.62x39 or 5.45x39 is already ridiculous, so we've moved past concern for realism in that field long ago. I agree that the Vikhr should be able to fit the AK mag
