When I tell people that I really like Kesha, they look at me in disbelief and ask me why. And they do that because they don't know that she does so many songs like this, really beautiful songs that you want to listen to.
10 years later and i'm humming this in my kitchen making myself tea while doing school work for my final year of college. I first listened to this song at 11 years old on my huge computer in my basement LOL.

Kesha wrote this song with Kara DioGuardi probably a year or two before Tik Tok happened. Kara DioGuardi owns a company called Arthouse Entertainment. Kesha is working with a producer named Pete Nappi who works for this company for her 3rd album. According to rumors before Kesha was signed by RCA, Kara wanted to offer her a contract with Warner Brothers and Dr. Luke wouldn't let it happen. Now she's breaking away from her contract with Luke and going back to Kara.
kesha actually doesnt want to make shallow basic pop music that are just about sex, parties. Even though the songs she was 'forced' to make by her labels are certified bangers, but i really love this side of her, she sounds so honest and raw here.
I totally agree with you! I mostly listen to hardrock/punkrock/rock and hiphop.. but when I just want to relax, chill out and forget about all the problems - then these songs are the way to go - perfect :)

Finally, Ke$ha is really settling down instead of puking up glitter and waking up in bizzare places. Ke$ha may party hard but she still has feelings or a soft side if you will. That's why I love her. ♥
Nice to hear her step out of the hard electronic music every once in a while to sing something real. I really wish she would sing songs like this more often.
Every time I listen to this song, I wonder how she would have been if her first album was more like this. I think she would have been better understood. I love her music no matter what, but she does have skill and the crazy drunk party vibe was not the best for her first album. IDK. YOLO lol

Feels Like Rain is older than her songs about drinking though. Anyway, she has to grow up. She even says in her show My Crazy Beautiful Life (season 1, episode 5) that she can't write party songs forever and she says "I feel like I'm incredibly different." She's no longer the bored broke waitress who wrote all those party songs. That time is long gone, as she says in her song Wonderland.
There is no ''old'' or ''new'' Kesha. Kesha has always been how she truly is. She has always been honest in everything she does. She doesn't want to be seen as perfect, she wants to be real. And yes, she drinks. But then again she also sings ''I know I'm not perfect, I know I got issues and yeah, some bad tattoos. I'm not a model, I'm not a saint. I'm sorry but I am just not sorry 'cause I swear and 'cause I drink''. Kesha is Kesha. She sings fun party songs because she wants to, but also has another side. She still makes beautiful ballads aka Past Lives, Last Goodbye etc..
