Today my dad gave his white bc Stratocaster to me, I’ve always loved the guitar and played it a few times and I must say its the best guitar I’ve ever played. The bc strat is from 08 so an older 1 but its still amazing. I will never sell this guitar bc its just to good, nothing compares to that guitar
This is a Strat I can kinda get behind. I started playing guitar the same year that Siamese dream came out and still listen to that album fairly regularly. 30 years sure went by quickly
Pumpkins were a massive part of my guitar education too, I was a little later to the game picking them up somewhere in the years between Mellon Collie and Adore. I’ve got a pretty awful video of me and my mates playing soma at a school concert circa 1997/8 😂.
@@JasonWharton82 oddly I never got much into anything after Siamese dream. I bought Mellon collie when it came out but never connected with it like I did to Siamese dream. It does have some bangers on it, though.
very nice review! Back in 2012 i picked up a "copy" of one of these from a music shop in the states called Sigler. They run a custom shop called 920D. They used to mod in store a whole bunch of different signature models! Mine is built off a Mexican Standard, (21 fret 😒) but they installed the same pickups, wired it up the same way, put in the extra two springs to tighten the trem right up, (it's not a hard tail... but kind of the next best thing,) threw on Fender Locking Tuners, a really good gig bag and a very decent set up, including dressing the fret ends and nut, put on a set of 10's... and shipped it to me in Australia for under $1000au... when the Corgan Signature was running at $2500 (retail) ... unfortunately i don't think they do that any more... but if you find a time machine, go check them out 👌👌
While i generally can't stand strats, this is one that I could definitely tolerate hehe. I dont like thin sounding single coils and i don't like twang. This guitar takes care of both of those issues. Also, great video as always, dude.
You sound like me before I took mushrooms in denver in 2019. I played a strat and super reverb that day that completely changed my mind. I got 2 teles and 2 strats since then, and a twin reverb. I still love metal. But my emgs are gone, my 5150 is gone
Can’t stand thin strats either. I bought this mim strat in 2014 with the intention of swapping out pickups, but the stock ceramic pups are actually bad ass and fat sounding, I never touched them
It's not bad spec for sure. Sounds great, but I don't know if I could use anything associated with him. However I believe the Jim Root strat was heavily inspired by this.
