Hi I am planning to conceive for first time at 48 yrs of age, periods are regular, but I am under work related stress and fatigue since 5 yrs. Will Ashwagandha help to solve all my problems? what will be the dosage

Apparently the FDA has a warning against taking Ashwagandha if pregnant because it can risk miscarriage. So I'm confused. So is this in contradiction to taking for fertility?

Ashwagandha is fine to use while trying to conceive and then it is discontinued once a positive pregnancy test is taken.

Can you take Ashuaganda and Vitex together? And can you take it while your pregnant or when you find out your pregnant at that point, when do you stop?

@overcoming battles These two herbs are fine to use together. Ashwagandha is discontinued once there is a positive pregnancy test and Vitex is weaned from unless working with a qualified herbalist, midwife or doctor for further guidance with this herb. You simply take less and less each day over a week's time until you are no longer taking it. ~Sonia Anselmo, Customer Care

It is generally not used specifically for that. It is supportive of the endocrine system which is helpful in most fertility instances.

Hi I started taking fertility herbs such as ashwaganda, dong quai, prenatal, vitex, omega 3, castor oil packs . And I noticed that when I got my period before at the end of that period my right ovary had a stinging pain until my next period came then the ovary pain went away I went to the doctor and they said nothing was wrong that it must be due to my menstruating. So I wanted to know can the herbs cause that to happen?

How about Shatavari? What is the difference? Does it make sense to take one, the other , or both? How to dose if/when taking more than one fertiliyy herb or adaptogen? Thank you! 😊

@avgonyma1 Shatavari supports a normal menstrual cycle, promotes healthy liver activity, and supports the mucus membranes. It can also counteract the adverse effects of stress and Ashwagandha is known to improve the body’s stress response, so that is where they are similar. It would be fine to choose one or take them together if you wish to. You would just follow the general suggested doses on the labels. ~Sonia Anselmo, Customer Care
