Fez: Black Monolith Puzzle 

...after seeing this... ...I think Phil Fish might actually be insane.

I saw all the endless guessed combos to this puzzle. It's got to be the hardest puzzle a community has worked together to solve since the Trials biking games.

Easy, starting from the door with torches, rotate once to the left "LT", you'll see the door frame on your right side, now, step on top of the platform and count 6 squares from the base, from left to right (you see how the platform base has many little squares, well, use them to count your position!) now every time you rotate screen, you have to make sure to be exactly 6 lil' squares on each of the four sides, from left to right or right to left, the correct order is: From the door with torches, count 6 squares from left to right, rotate once with "LT" (this is the starting position to activate the code on the video) also 6 squares from left to right, rotate again with "LT" (the opposite side from the door), this time you'll be 6 squares from right to the left, and again rotate "LT" (you see the door frame this time on your left side) you'll be 6 squares from right to left, this is the exact position to start activating the code! This is how I did it without the first person sight and it worked for me! :D

You get the first person view by beating the game once. You have to click in the right thumbstick to use it. This is the last heart cube. The other two are found in the telescope room and in the security room. I'll put the links in the description.

You can also do an "infinite" jump? Keep pressing UP on the D-PAD and then hold X to trigger it.

how do you check where your standing on the floor? i cant do that as of yet. confused.

The engraving on the pillar below resemble tetris blocks. Does this provide the final code?

You need ng+ otherwise you cant see the exact spot to stand on. I imagine if you happened to stand on the right spot and input the code it should work.

You know, I managed to do this without the First Person View. All I did, was to observe where your character stood near the plants, since they don't change their location, so I used the angle in which you can see the door as the first "coordinates", and the angle when you use the LT from that position as the second "coordinates". It worked! :D

I like the reasoning behind this idea.

It was found out years later, had something to do with creating real life objects using stuff from the book* *I got a notification saying someone liked this comment, and I realized that it still hasn't actually been solved and it was just a massive coincidence through reverse engineering the answer which they already knew through brute forcing the code. So the true method to find out the answer still hasn't been found

hmm dosnt works for me, and i even checked if i stand on the right spot ... do you need the first redcube shard that it works o-o? because i even WATCHED CLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSEEE to the vid and even ingame with the ng+ view that i stand on the darn spot but it dosnt wants to work xwx

or need i both map pieces that it works

The code doesnt work for me, it wont open the black monolith gate. I have already beaten the game once and have the FPS mode...

There's also an anti cube in this room. You can find it by pressing RRLRRLLL. I literally found it on accident, I only knew the code sequence because I got a trophy for doing so and it contained the code.

Once you beat the game you can zoom in anywhere.

I think the only person that knows is Phil Fish. Ask him. I doubt he will answer it though.
