It's always puzzled me why PIF seem so intent on helping opposition clubs by offering inflated prices to buy players. They offered Liverpool £200M for Salah. If he had gone that would have given the Scousers tremendous financial leverage (on top of the inflated Henderson deal) with regards to FFP - and hampered the PL club they own even Further! I just don't get it
Yea it seems like all the premier league clubs hands are tied. Apart from the top 6 . When there’s a false start in a 400 meter race they’ll bring them all back to the beginning . Not in the premier league let the big 6 take advantage of the false start. Corrupt to the core. 🤔
PIF or saudi must stop giving newcastle rival club free money from buying their player .. like trensfer jordan henderson, saudi gift free mobey for liverpool for rebuild their team ... Stop it..
In some countries, FFP would be illegal under anti-monopoly or fair competition laws. Clearly the main FFP impact is to prevent anyone catching up to the big six. os Those who built a massive squad value and turnover base before FFP got serious, can continue to outspend others even if others have the funds. Wouldn't be allowed in any other walk of life.
Spot on Keith ... everything that could go wrong this year ...has ... Tonali ... the injuries ... the group of death in the champions league ... the league cup draws and the last minute defeats when we have played ever so well ... they need to unearth some more homegrown stars like Miley, Anderson, longstaff
Football is the only industry where owners are not allowed to spend on THEIR assets! It's a restriction of trade and surely there's a law against that!? FFP even stops smaller clubs from spending to their full potential too. It's all to protect that so called big 6 who were able to get all their sponsorships and back handed deals in place before any FFP rules came in. All so they can still spend big regardless of FFP because they have all the deals there. It's simply an anti competition rule.
The league pulled up the drawbridge when PIF bought NUFC. FFP spending restrictions on top of limiting what sponsors NUFC can have. Where are PIF's anti-competition attorneys?
I could not see Solanke getting over 10 goals if he played ever gamefor man city 😂. I see Burn getting more goals. I can not understand how man city are still standing after 119 charges. I would love man city start next season minus 119 points.
I think when someone new buys a club they should be able to spend what they want for 1st , 3 year, so they can put a team together, it means the teams above you have an advantage coz they have there team set up allready.
It wasn't immediately apparent to me but is becoming increasingly clear that all ffp does is preserve the dominance of the 'traditional' top 6. How is any club supposed to catch teams who are able to make £190-470m (Spurs-Man City) more in revenue other clubs are not allowed to improve their revenue stream by improving the team or stadium??? Especially given what city & chelsea have got away with over the last 10 years & now the suits at uefa have basically locked the doors behind them & made sure no other club gets a look in! I don’t know why i'm surprised mind, football is as corrupt as boxing! Cheers keith.
