You forgot phase 1, which most people fail. The phase where you need the game to actually pick you to do the duel instead of the 20 other people who qualified.

while the mechanics aren't all that hard, the difficulty is really enhanced by the high pressure of the situation and the fact that all it takes is one mistake and your dead and have to wait god knows how long to get another chance.

I started Bozja 2 days ago. I got in this 1v1 after joining only one CE, still rank 1, and had no idea what I was doing. My first ever 1v1 after like 10 mins getting into Bozja, and of course I died lol. I'm gonna learn this and take my revenge....eventually xD

you will get 1 hit K.O'd. 1v1 is designed to make sure you die if you didnt do the mech properly regardless of how high your defense is.

To be honest, the only way to get a chance at doing the duel is to not get hit by any dodgable mechanics in the required Critical Engagement anyway. If you're someone who screws up a lot and can't do that, you wouldn't get picked anyway. Sorry.

Why doesn't anyone do 16 stacks of focus into lost slash? It does like 15% of their health.

Are we not getting any guide on the critical engagement themselves? After learning some of them the hard way there are still engagements that don't make sense. On top of that all bosses are noob traps that will kill you unless you happen to know ahead of time what's going to happen. This would be invaluable for people just starting out. I understand that many of the engagements are too short for seperate videos but perhaps one longform video that gives a summary of each?

I popped Holmgang and still got knockback so... yeah. If you use Tank invul, make sure to position yourself for the tower. Dangit, gonna farm those notoriety buff again :/

I had to just admit defeat in that I just don't have the time to do Bozja! I really wanted to check it out but the time sync is just too much for me. I am glad that the two mounts are able to be sold so I'll definitely pick them up when they're down to about a mil a piece. So far I've seen them drop in price by about 200k a day so within another couple weeks I think I'll be able to grab them.

If you're looking to do Bozja for the story, you can easily get it done in 10 or so hours. Obviously not everyone has that amount of time to sink into it week 1, but if you're staying current in XIV anyway, this content doesn't stretch the expectation any further than the MSQ or either raid format, unlike Eureka. You should give it a shot!

All the duel CEs are spawned by killing 4th legion mobs in the section.

I passed on a chance at this one a couple days ago. It was the first 1v1 I had qualified for, but I didn't know the fight at all. Perhaps if I get the chance again I'll click accept and see if I'm the one who is picked.

I dont need a guide, i need to know how to win chosen gacha againt people who not spawming it, not do the Skirmishes and throw away my spawing time by dead in very first mechanic(some people had been selected not even get in the dual fight and boss just go away)

Honestly... fuck these duels. Even when you know what to do they still screw you over. Got into Aces High, and he does the first Dynamic Sensory Jammer. I sit there, waiting for the debuff to end. It ends, so I start to gtfo of the circle... and suddenly I'm launched into the air and die. Even had a player witness it and say that they saw the debuff end as well but still the game acted like it was on and that was just total bullshit.
