Dude Filipino food is underrated? Of course there are some weird looking foods existed in all cultures. But Filipino food in total is nothing but short of awesome. I’ve been married to a Filipina for over 30 years, and traveled to Philippines many times. I’ve not seen any food That I don’t like except Bagoong ( Shrimp Paste ). As far as I know most of Filipino dishes are very authentic with different taste from different regions of Philippines. They are scrumptiously delightful AND DELICIOUS.LOLLIPOP
He meant that in a positive way. You often hear about Thai or Japanese food and Filipino food isn't talked as much despite being good as well is what he meant. He wasn't dissing it.
@@BrokenNoah thank you buddy for the clarification. Indeed I meant that in positive way. As good as Filipino foods are. They’re not well known like Japanese or Chinese foods. Personally, I definitely go for Filipino food compared to Japanese or even Italian food. Lol
My husband is french and he doesn’t like shrimp paste too 😆 but he likes it in pinakbet and laing. He doesn’t like to put it in kare-kare . He tried many times but he just couldn’t, so when i make kare-kare i make it flavorful so he doesn’t need to use bagoong.
@@kamotetops1572 I have not tasted it for years now but in my mind batuan is less sour than both sampaloc and kamias. If sampaloc is 10 I'd say batuan is 7.
I miss the Bacolod food scene ,haven't been back there since I left the place after high school in 1974,but I will be back and savor the best of Bacolod again I will see you later.
@jasmine yes, took my college education in Manila worked locally for 15 years ,worked in Sydney Australia for another 15 years and back in Manila in 2006,All's well that ends well😄
Thank you for Visiting Bacolod Luke it's been my wish for you to trip here in our hometown.. Bacolod never fails when it comes to food so I hope you can come back here💛💛🥰🥰🥰
I am very interested in that biscuits from the Bong Bong factory, I want to rush to buy a box; The last roasted chicken leg and the plate of yellow rice were so tempting, I felt drooling; This is the most informative video I've ever seen about Filipino food, what a great episode!👍😃👏 我對Bong Bong工廠的餅乾很感興趣,好想衝去買一箱; 最後的烤雞腿及那盤黃米飯好誘人,感覺口水流出來了; 這是我看過介紹菲律賓美食最詳實的影片,很棒的一集!
Thank you for taking me home via this food vlog, I miss Bacolod’s food. Kansi is an underrated Filipino dish and it deserves all the accolades it gets, so glad you found it as your favorite. Truly a food vlog you can taste. Kudos! 👏🎉
Ah yes!!!! My hometown. Totally agree with you that yes, my hometown and the Ilonggo cuisine is so underrated. We are known for our pastries, sure, but even that can be more elevated. But the main dishes, side dishes, the staples are so underrated. Thank you for coming here and highlighting this. It truly makes me miss this so so much. One day, I'll be able to come home again and show my kids my hometown and home country.
@@LukeMartin loving these vlogs hope you try silvanas and sans rival and show us how they made it cause I'm curious to know. I think it is in dumaguete or iloilo somewhere in the visayas area.

That is not Street Food! Vloggers only call it street food because they cant find something to compare to their street food videos of Thailand and other countries that have an actual street food culture.
Thanks for visiting bacolod .....and trying our best foods.......I wish you could have visited our beaches and snorkeling and scuba places .... specially in sipalay.........but thank you for visiting
@8:02. Erons Cansi House - beef butter marrow - from Luke Martin " best thing I've eaten in the Philippines. . . sorry Lechon " Thought nothing could beat slow roasted pork in an open fire . Great discovery - sometimes highest risk comes with even higher reward when trying things local.
Can't wait to visit Bacolod again for such a long time,.how i'm craving for those foods!😋thanx for this video🙇..anyway, Bacolod is almost 2hrs drive away from home.
The best showcase of bacolodnon food i had seen, the guy looks very knowledgeable about the best food places to eat in bacolod. Can mike chen, mark weins, food ranger or TBFRS. Hire this guy when they come back to the philippines. So that negrosanon food will be showcased in their vlogs next? 💞
When I was still younger and I'm still back in the Philippines the bakery or factory of Bong Bong's was located in Alijis in Bacolod. Sometimes we buy piaya freshly baked.
Actually, Cambodian food is sooo Different from Filipino Food! Soooo Different! Cambodians have more ingridients and the serving sizes are bigger. Plus Cambodians also have bugs and crickets. Cambodian food is more Colorful, Festive, and Cultural. Cambodia food is more similar to Laos and Thailand.
I'm from Bacolod and So happy to see people are enjoying Negrense foods like from Bacolod. Negros got lots to offer aside from food you should also try some tourist destinations like the beaches here😁

Everything except the chicken intestine I would enjoy. Great video and I really like that you post the prices of the meals. The vinegar is interesting with all the garlic and veggies.
