Great tips!! I think that better than traditional financing or cash, the best overall is using a savings club to finance the car. It takes a little longer, but it is soooo much cheaper!! I love this system. We use it a lot in Brazil.

I agree 100% with you . What you also have to factor in to the amount of interest you are paying is the 2%(roughly) that you are losing with cash not being in your account anymore . I bought a new KTM in 2018 and it was glitchy from day one so when the PCP ended I paid the £4500 balance , took it to another KTM dealer and part-exed it for a Japanese bike . They gave me £6000 for it . I just don't think the European manufacturers can make durable electronics

I agree…I recently financed a bike I had the money to pay for up front, for the same reason. Sure there is about $150 USD over a 3 year note. But for me, thats a cheap “insurance” policy. And, I have my payments coming out of my account automatically…so life is pretty hassle free. If I find that there is an issue with the bike next spring or summer, the bank can help me resolve it if need be. However, its a Honda…and history says its likely there wont be any issues. Nice MG…keep the shinny side up & rubber side down.

I have a new V7 stone that I have put 3000km on so far. Like yourself I am really enjoying the bike. Mine also has an engine light issue though it is subtly different to yours in that mine goes back off again randomly. Some times it will stay on over hundreds of ks, on a number of different trips, other times it will reset with the ignition being turned off. Lately it's been more the latter. Pretty random stuff, . What is predictable is that high revs will cause it to come on like say an enthusiastic overtaking manoeuvre. im not red lining the bike, about 5500 or a bit more revs seems to be enough so on mine i think its probably the speed sensing proximity switch for the crankshaft speed and or the ECU losing the plot. Without diagnostics who knows. My dealer is 300 plus ks away. I have set the gear shift setting and red line setting well above where I rev the bike too. I can't really tell if this ha's made the difference but it seems like it may have, As there are alarms for the real important stuff and I have done thermal imaging of the engine I don't worry about it overly and hope MG will have a fix at the 10000k service. Wishing you luck with yours as it does detract from what is otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable machine.

Still no updated map from MG? Tut tut! I guess you could view the interest payments on finance as also contributing to a consumer rights insurance policy. I believe the lemon law in the USA is much tougher on dealers than in the UK, but things are getting better here.
