Well,it couldn't have happened to a nicer pair of mudlarkers! I am so glad you found the full bottle after all those pieces you have collected. Also an onion so perfect, not a chip or crack to be seen. Amazing!!

Back in the 70's they were constructing a highway through the 1600's section of Philadelphia PA. This was a tunnel section so a lot of dirt was excavated. Combing through the spoils excavations we found tons of broken onion bottles but never a whole one, it's still on my bucket list. Simultaneously while this dig was going on there was major construction going on in Madagascar, the pirate capital of the Indian Ocean. The dug up SO many onion bottles that the market flooded and prices dropped like a rock. The excavation in Philadelphia wasn't all a bust though, we did come away with our share of Spanish and colonial coinage. Then one day they dug up 3 cannons, that's when digging stopped, fences went up and security was hired. Our scavenging days came to an abrupt stop. You wouldn't happen to know of anyone who has a working time machine do you?

I used to have foot warmer when i was very young mum put a large cork in it but had to be careful as it would burn your feet so she wrapped it up in a T-towel luvly

I didn't think it was possible for you to better your haul from your last two videos, but you've only gone and done it! The onion bottle is amazing, but the rest of your finds are pretty special too. Incidentally, the "remains of the cork" in one of the bottles is actually the sealing ring for a glass stopper - you can sometimes find these still attached to stoppers. Well done guys, keep up the good work.

Just had a thought for what it's worth, the cork in the neck of that bottle is probably to get a tight fit with one of the glass stoppers Mudlarkers are always finding, I'm 77 and I remember my Dad's sauce bottles had this cork lining with those lovely glass stoppers, we used to use the tops for our board games easier to move than picking up flat pieces. I was having another look at your round up.
