Mudlarking - AMAZING finds on a Victorian 'TREASURE ISLAND!' 

Having grown up in a very abusive family setting and children's home's, it makes me feel very happy to see you guys interact in such a wonderfully loving and supportive way. I always get a little gasp of excitement when a new video appears in my feed. I'm sending you mega wishes for a full torpedo or something even better in the future. Thanks so much for the vids.

Having dug for bottles in disused dumping grounds on the Cape Flats near Cape Town in the 1980s (deep sites and hard, compacted earth, plus evidence of regular burning), I can't believe the number of undamaged/barely damaged items you guys are finding just lying there on the surface! This is the first of your videos that I have watched and I already know I'm going to become addicted!

Great job! Treasure Island is right! I love the tiny cement bottle, the cobalt bottle stopper, the cobalt medicine bottle, the pale ice blue bottle, and lastly, Josie's pale green blob lipped bottle. I love some of the ceramics as well. So many to love, like children, you cannot choose just one!

When out in the smell you need some peppermint essence on cotton in your nose. I am so envious now I know what it means to live vicariously thru others lives. Just had major surgery and you were on my suggested list and have loved all you are doing. Helps with recovery .

I decided Mudpies must be accompanied every time by Top Nosh. Tonight's delight is Vegan Cheese and Spring Onion soda bread toasties with added mayo. Followed by Vegan Kit Kat getting snapped with marshmallows at every sploshtastic find and hot chocolate. Why should you have all the fun. 😃

I found a few of those stoneware jars twelve years ago, and a Keiller's Dundee marmalade. Later, five years ago, in Kona I bought our one Weir jar "Kona Kanning Ko." c1915? Original metal latch & lid. In 2019 I found a bunch of our Codds, but all were broken, loads of stone inks, the nearby former Pohukaina school was founded in 1848. Three Los Angeles Codds also were broken. I know there are some even Codd torpedoes from Riverside, Cal. When the Anglo-Tahitians returned here, they set up Hawaiian Soda Works, using Riley inside screws, a British patent. I have a Hunyadi Janos here, a mineral water with 80% of the label going on about complying to the 1906 act. Screw lid stone Mason jars are a U.S. thing.

Oh My Codd - my fav has to be the blobby chemist - then poison and all that stoneware - really enjoyed this incredible muddy treasure trove - Broken codds have to be marble extractions - understandable - you will find a complete I am sure! Cheers N

I was thinking you could cut down a mostly intact torpedo bottle and make a frame for it to sit in. That would make a cool flower vase. I'd buy one! ☺️

Josie, please get a ballcap so you don't have to wipe your hair back all the time, with stinky mud! Lovely video, great finds!! Just get a childs plastic snow sled, and attach a couple of milk crates. The flat bottom should be good for the mud. Easy to clean and cheap!

You'll have to start packing some shopping bags in your packs so you can carry even more home with you! What a neat bunch of gorgeous finds!

There’s an amazing bottle dumpsite where I walk my dog. I found whole torpedo bottles, ink well bottles, quite a lot of earth & wear, my favourite bottle I found was a 1920s r whites bottle with its original stopper & some original contents & a slice of lemon

I used to bottle hunt when i was a kid with my dad. He is no longer with this earth and i Miss those times dearly. I love watching your channel and all the surprises you two find! Best wish from Muskegon Michigan, USA!
