I'm a born again Christian, non affiliated with a particular denomination though attending fellowship-willingly, not under coercion or compulsion. But no parent should be shunning their kids. It's unBiblical and cult like.

Lindsay, I relate to what you say about having had a relative normal youth, besides growing up as JW, but also having little memories. I knew already when I was in my early teens that I suppress memories. Though now getting more curious about them and why exactly my subconsious decided to block them and how it shows up in my life without me knowing why. Maybe one day I’ll do a session with phychedellics one day to uncover some... It’s great how you’ve developed from there! I really felt your emotions and understand totally that they’re there. I dissociated not because of doctrine but the way Watchtower covers up child abuse and the way they treat women in judicial commities which I had no clue about until I started watching apostate videos, my favourite thing about leaving Watchtower I no longer have to pretend to know things I realley have no clue about, I,m now a born-again atheist agnostic. I wonder how many illnesses that many JWs face are due to internalize fear, anxiety, depression….The fear of the “world” ending, fear of losing their loved one, even shunning or being shunned and trying to get back into the Borg knowing deep down “something just isn’t right, but I can’t pin point it”etc… it’s sad that when you mention that your struggling with any illnesses the only response you get is “wait on Jehovah” how comforting are those words? It’s not very comforting for a person who sees no way out…..SMDH!!!!

happy that this young woman has found her way. the healing still continues, obviously. being one of jehovah's witnesses is not a choice for those 'born in'. losing everything one loves to finally say 'no thank you.' is not something one thinks about in the early stages of growing up. but the day comes when a decision is made, and many young witnesses do make this choice, to walk away. no one becoming a baptized witness sees this day coming, but for many it does. what jehovah's witnesses provide is a place to be, for a future beyond what this life offers. most religions are the same. my advice for this young woman is to never abandon the 'day after'. never be satisfied for what this life has to give. but do jehovah's witnesses have the answer? no more than any other faith system where only the details are different. this realization does not exclude 'the day after'. ask the thousands of persons who have had death experiences, yet return to us with similar stories. look out into the stars and wonder why they are there. look out onto this planet around us and wonder why it is there. look into a dogs eyes and tell me what you see. look out onto a public playground and tell me what you see. i am 72. i have lived many lives in seven decades. every decade has its moment of truth. this young woman will find this to be true of her, as well. in my seven decades there have been moments of sadness, of loss, of grief, of tragedy, of anxiety; but what i remember most are the good moments that got me through .... the joys, the wonder, the times i laughed, the times i smiled, the times i said 'is this me?' life is about learning, and growing, and wondering, and understanding that the storms will always come, and that the light will always shine. when you come to the end of this life you want to look back and say 'thank you.' it is my earnest hope that many will come to say the same. death is a door, that one day will beg us to enter; and, if the experiences of thousands of others are true; a beginning, of something new.
I have so much admiration for people like Lindsay. I see JW as both victims and perpetrators of a cult. Harsh yes but fundamental good people believe they are doing the right thing when they are not. Lindsay found the strength to just leave and I honestly can't imagine how hard that was to do.

WHO ARE THE TWO WITNESSES??? Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers there. But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months. And I will empower my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth (Revelation 11:1-3). We must first understand that we are the temple of God. Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple (1 Cor 3:16-17). The Temple, altar, and worshippers are to be measured. And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had upheld (Revelation 6:9). The measuring implies the protecting of, or the token of a resolve to protect, a portion of the sacred enclosure from desecration. The measuring, like the sealing of Revelation 7, is a sign of preservation during impending dangers. God will always have true worshippers on this earth, worshiping in spirit and truth (John 4:23). God will protect his people in the wilderness. His people have come out of all Apostate Christianity (Revelation 18:4). And the woman fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a place for her to be nourished for 1,260 days (Revelation 12:6). And I will empower my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth (Revelation 11:3). But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months (Revelation 11:1-3). The courtyard outside the temple represents Apostate Christianity, the visible part of Christianity today is being trampled on. The visible part of Christianity is full of Apostacy and abominations. Unrepentant Christians fill the churches, the churches are full of Apostacy and abominations. The 42 months the 1260 days are a symbolic period of time that God's people preach the testimony during a time of great apostacy. “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues (Revelation 18:4). The Temple of God, the Two Witnesses preach the testimony in the wilderness, they are not part of Apostate Christianity. They worship at home in spirit and truth (John 4:23). These witnesses are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. If anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouths and devours their enemies. In this way, anyone who wants to harm them must be killed. These witnesses have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophecy, and power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish (Revelation 11:4-6). The two witnesses are the two olive trees, the two lampstands. In the bible olive oil was used to keep the lampstands burning. The wise discreet virgins used olive oil to keep their lamps burning while waiting for Yeshua to arrive (Mathew 25:1-13). Lampstands in the bible are a symbol for the church. In Revelation Yeshua sent 7 letters to 7 congregations, only two of them passed, only two of them would receive the reward. The two witnesses, the two olive trees, the two lampstands, all symbolize the temple of God, the wise virgins, the true church today that is being preserved during a time of great apostacy. The Two Witnesses Speak with fire from their mouths, they also turn waters into blood. The prophet Elijah preached during a time of great apostacy, he called down fire upon Apostate Israel. Moses turned waters into blood to free God's people from slavery in Egypt. Likewise the Two Witnesses have been given a job a mission to do, they preach during a time of great Apostacy in Christianity today. Their job their mission is to be like Elijah and speak with words of fire, they are to call Christians to repent. Their job their mission is to be like Moses and turn waters into blood, their job their mission is to free God's people who are still enslaved to Apostate Christianity. When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city-figuratively called Sodom and Egypt-where their Lord was also crucified (Revelation 11:7-8). The Beast is the scarlet coloured Beast in Revelation Chapter 17, the eighth King, it is the United Nations. The Beast will wage war against Christianity, against the Two Witnesses, the Temple of God. The Two Witnesses will be symbolically killed, their testimony will end, when the Great City (The Vatican) is outlawed and burned with fire, by the United Nations Beast. The Great City the Vatican, is figuratively called Sodom for it's abominations, and Egypt because it enslaves God's people to apostacy. When the United Nations attacks Christianity and burns it with fire, our testimony will end, we will be in a symbolic deathlike state, undergoing great tribulation, like rocks being slowly piled on top of us until we can't breath (Revelation 7:14). We will experience a deathlike state similar to what the Nation of Israel experienced when captive in Babylon (Ezekiel 37) When Israel was set free and returned to their beloved home Jerusalem, life breath came back into them. Likewise we the Two Witnesses will experience a similar symbolic deathlike state, but then at the 7th Trumpet, life breath, will come back into us, when we meet our Lord Yeshua in the air, when we go home to new Jerusalem. And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand were killed in the quake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe has passed. Behold, the third woe is coming shortly (Revelation 11:13-14). A great earthquake in the bible symbolizes a great change, a great calamity. This great change, this great calamity, is the second woe. The second woe is when the United Nations Beast attacks Christianity and burns it with fire. The Two Witnesses are the seven thousand, a symbolic number who worship at home in secret, keeping the Commandments of God and the Faith of Yeshua, not bending their knee to the Beast. Just like the 7000 in the old testament who did not bend their knee to baal, we do not bend our knee to the United Nations Beast (1 Kings 19:18).
GOD'S WRATH HAS ARRIVED DEPOPULATION (THE APOCALYPSE) Throughout history God has shown his wrath upon mankind numerous times. As you can see below, these are just a few occasions that God's wrath came upon mankind: He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people. He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, reducing them to ashes as an example of what is coming on the ungodly (2 Peter 2:5-7). The Lord says, “I will use Assyria like a stick. In my anger I will use Assyria to punish Israel. I will send Assyria to fight against the people who do evil. I am angry with them, and I will command Assyria to fight against them. Assyria will defeat them and take their wealth (Isaiah 10:5-6). As you can see, God does get angry, and wrathful, with his people, when they become wicked and ungodly. God became very angry with his people the Jews, on numerous occasions, and God on numerous occasions used Nations, as a tool of his wrath, to punish his people. TODAY GOD IS WRATHFUL WITH HIS PEOPLE CHRISTIANS Today God's people are Christians: You are all sons of God through faith in (Yeshua) Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:26-29). Sadly Christianity has become Apostate and ungodly. Their churches are full of abominations, false teachings, and pharmakeia. God has commanded his people to come out of these churches: “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities (Revelation 18:4-5). God is commanding his people to get out of the visible part of Christianity and worship at home in spirit and truth: But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him (John 4:23). The majority of the Churches today pimp pharmakeia (Vaccines, Gene Therapy). The Churches say it is a moral obligation to take the corona vaccine, they say it is an act of love, but it is actually depopulation through pharmakeia. Pharmakeia is a gross sin, a abomination, it is mass murder, mass depopulation, mass sterilization and mass genetic modification: The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and pharmakeia; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). Now the rest of mankind.who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk. Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder, pharmakeia, sexual immorality, and theft (Revelation 9:20-21). GOD PRE-WARNED ALL OF US ABOUT DEPOPULATION THROUGH PHARMAKEIA THE APOCALYPSE Today God is using the Western Empire (The Beast) and it's Image (The United Nations) as a tool of his wrath directed against his people Apostate Christianity. God's wrath has arrived in the form of Depopulation through War, Famine, and Death (pharmakeia). Because Christians unrepentantly practice pharmakeia, God will use it against them. God has allowed the Western Empire to become dark and tyrannical, with lockdowns, 15 minute city's, economic devastation, WW3, famine, death, pharmakeia, the apocalypse. In the book of Revelation 18:23. Yeshua uses the Greek word (((pharmakeia))) sorcery, to reveal to us the main thing that will be used to deceive ALL people in our Age (time), is a well organized system of administering poisonous drugs, vaccines, medications, to billions of people that are not only toxic to the organs of the body, but have direct negative effects on the brain and reproductive system (Revelation 18:23). THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS COMING A VACCINE PASSPORT CONNECTED TO A DIGITAL ID AND DIGITAL CURRENCY And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark-the name of the beast or the number of its name (Revelation 13:16-17). And a third angel followed them, calling out in a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives its mark on his forehead or on his hand, he too will drink the wine of God’s anger, poured undiluted into the cup of His wrath (Revelation 14:9-11). The Beast system will require the continuous practice of the gross sin pharmakeia (Vaccines) to buy sell work or play (A Vaccine Passport). The Beast system will require that you break the commandments of God and practice the gross sin pharmakeia. The Beast system will require that you share in the great sin of, mass murder, mass depopulation, mass sterilization, and mass genetic modification (Revelation 18:4-5). All Christianity will be given a clear choice, either they choose to belong to Satan's Beast system, or to God's Kingdom, either they break the commandments of God, or keep the commandments of God. If you do not want the Mark of the Beast then you must simply: Keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yeshua Jesus (Revelation 14:12). You must stop practicing pharmakeia right now! A WARNING FOR THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO PRACTICE PHARMAKEIA So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and loathsome, malignant sores broke out on those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image (Revelation 16:2). And curse the God of heaven for their pains and sores; yet they did not repent of their deeds (Revelation 16:11). They had tails with stingers like scorpions, which had the power to injure people for five months (Revelation 9:10). All who continuously unrepentantly practice pharmakeia will receive the wrath of God. Marburg is coming a planned second plandemic, you will receive loathsome malignant sores if you do not repent. You must stop practicing pharmakeia, it is pharmakeia that will give you loathsome, malignant, sores, and injure you for life. God has warned you! HOW CAN YOU AVOID THE WRATH OF GOD? Keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yeshua Jesus (Revelation 14:12). Come out of all Apostate Churches and worship at home in spirit and truth (Revelation 18:4-5, John 4:23) You must stop practicing pharmakeia right now. You must repent of all pharmakeia today not tommorow. You must study the history of pharmakeia. You must have faith in God not pharmakeia. Finally you must join the family of God. Yes God has a family, and he is our father, and he wants to adopt you: He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Yeshua Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:5). Yes God sent his son to adopt you. Yeshua is Lord Savior and King. Join the Family of God and Repent!
Sad that you don’t realize that religion doesn’t have the trademark on “hope”. There’s 8 billion+ people on this planet and what’s beautiful about that is that we all can have whatever hope we want to.
