Finally found a video that compares and explains the names of the different models. Was so confusing for first time Dishwasher user. The only thing lacking is an actual demo of the results.
I've got well water and for several years I used Quantum Max and it was the best detergent I'd ever used for getting dishes clean - it was like a miracle detergent. After using other detergents for years that never gave good clean results, I couldn't believe it. I loved Quantum Max. When Quantum Max went away, I started using Quantum and the dishes don't get nearly as clean. So even though the label may say it does more things, whatever the formula is, it doesn't work nearly as good as Quantum Max did.
Did they end up doing a good job? I bought these just now. Let me know if you could please. The Quantum Powerball Ultimate clean and shine in the black bag is what I bought.
I've used both and In my non bosch dishwasher and the quantum max worked a lot better. One thing to notice is that the quantum max has 64 tabs in a 37.4 ounce bag as where Quantum has 82 tabs in a 36.1 ounce bag. I assume there is more detergent per tab, but not only that.. it appears there is less packaging per tab in the nicely packed cube.
Can u pls tell if rinse aid is need to put with quantum?? Hv hard water here. Hv been using finish clean until now and need rinse aid along with salt to make the dishwasher clean probably.
I use the all in one max and it cleans perfectly. I wonder what did they change in the quantum and in which way it is better. Can you try the cheapest finish tablets and review them please? I wonder I'd the cheapest use the same formula and are the same.
sometimes those changes are made because they find they become carcinogenic over time. ever wonder why your new and improved formula of shampoo blows? oh they discontinued it after finding its carcinogenic after its been opened and not all used within 6 months. true story
While I agree with your 14 vs 17 action theory, places like Walmart still sell a Max in 1 opinion. Walmart also sells the Quantum Max for quite a big price point more than regular Quantum. As of today Aug 1st, per pod Max in 1 is 19¢, Quantum is 21¢, and Quantum Max is 27¢. Realistically they all probably work very similar but their marketing and price structure is confusing.
Cory Guagliardo indeed there will be different differences. On amazon depending who the seller is, the price is quite fair for whichever choice. But yes, the naming scheme is confusing and they could have done better - hence the video trying to help clarify some of it
I have used both. The Ultimate clean & shine doesn't do as good of a job as the Quantum max. That is in MY water. I have rusty hard water. I have to add citric acid (not kookaid, 1 T regular citric acid, bought on Amazon) to do the same thing as Q max. I can't find Q max anymore. I'll have to keep trying. I won't buy Ultimate C&S again, unless I have to. I'd like to just use the pod and not have to add citric acid. I'm going to try the one with ActivBlu in it. I hope it's as good as Qmax. Easier to get.
andrew goes on and on and on losing the will to live. show the old and new products 15 seconds done. turn them around so you can see the latest version has now 3 other actions 15 seconds , NEXT mention the 3 extra actions as printed on product 15/20 seconds ,done . summary comment ie buy the new pk and try as i have still not tryed it even though i have yacked on for 5 minutes another 10 seconds ======= 1 MINUTE ANDREW thats all you need
OK I don't care about the 17 things. Most detergents clean my dishes okay. However we have very hard water and I have to wipe my load with RealLemon juice to clean and descale the white powder off of it after using Finish Advanced. So would Quantum work for this?
We have hard water, and no water softener. For us, the Quantum Max works better than the new Quantum. The new product leaves a haze on all the glassware. We're down to our last bag of Quantum Max (I bought a bunch from Walmart.com), and very disappointed it is no longer available at a reasonable price. I'll be trying Cascade's line of products next, and perhaps adding LemiShine. I'd like to hear if anyone has found a good replacement.
Update - 3-7-21. The old dishwasher stopped working and we've now replaced it. The new dishwasher works well with any soap. My guess is the problem was my dishwasher, not the Quantum detergent. I'll be buying a bag of new Quantum and giving it a try.
@@redgrass537 it really is the dishwasher, I'm convinced of it lol! I tried what other's recommended & it sucked, always had a white haze or hard water stains. Quantam does the job so well, it's a lifesaver lol.
Accidentally purchased the "new" version, Quantum. I am NOT at all convinced that it does a better job that Quantum Max. Perhaps you could do a test & follow-up, as when you recorded this, you had not yet used the new one. I see earlier comments that they seem to clean about the same; this is not my experience.
you put it in the dispenser which is in the door. you can put dw powder, tablets or liquid in them. Search for model manual on the internet if you are confused how to use it.
How difficult is to break these tablets into half? To save money I prefer to break them into half. I have never used finish tablets before because they were too expensive in my country. Now they are selling 100 tabs of "Deep Clean" for about $15. I think I can easily afford that. Have you ever tried the "Deep Clean"? How is it in comparison to these two?
I did not notice a difference between the two honestly. Both seem to work just as well in my dishwasher. I do have a relatively newer Bosch dishwasher oh, so I'm not sure how it would function in something with an older design.
The old one is discontinued an the new one is not nearly as good.. There is more detergant smell and less shine. I'll look into other brands or the gel form.
Im not sure how you could have missed the opportunity to show what supposed 3 things the new pods do that the old pods don't. Im not mad I am just disappointed.
@@andrewesquivel Oh boy, all the names, I'll try... 2:15 The "Max in one" is still the "Max in one", the "Quantum Max" is still better than the "Max in one" regardless of the extra numbers they added to the new "Quantum" package. They will add unnecessary things like it's "Chlorine free", "Easy dosing", "Septic safe", etc to newer packaging to make it seem like it does a better job than before, but it's just there to get consumers interested in this "new and improved" product. Some of the extra things they've add to the new packaging applies to the older products as well. Can't make out everything they've added on the packaging you've shown, but like... "Easy dosing"... that's literally what they've added on the newer packaging 😂
@@andrewesquivel Also the fact that you did a video without trying both... you opened the new one but wanted to use the old one up before... why? I can lookup the bag online and compare even better, since you didnt mention the difference... and you didnt test and compare, even that you hd the chance. Imagine when Coca Cola Zero came out if I made a video with a 3 liter bottle of Coca Cola light and one with the new Coca Cola Zero, but didnt bother to compare the taste because I wanted to use up my old bottle first, and kept talking about the new design of the Zero label instead...
This did not have to be a 5 minute video complete with child warnings....LOL. And then at the end did not explain the details of difference, nor did he test them....! Yes "Finish" dish-washing products are darn confusing. They should explain which might be better with different types of water (truly a factor) as well as explaining what the different types are designed to do. All smoke and mirrors currently. On a technical point, all manufacturers have to file an MSDS(Material Safety Data Sheet) with the FDA (or similar org) to get approval for it to be marketed. That sheet is available on the web and can be reviewed for chemicals in the product. The chemicals can be researched as to what they do which would explain why some of their products work differently for shine, hard water etc. That might help choose the correct product.
@@andrewesquivel i have two machines, a 4 year old kenmore, so i even bought a new machine a ge, and it STILL foams!!! The new ge dishwasher commercial even claim "we test new quantum finish in our dishwashers" BS.
