I can name people of throughout the last 2000 years who were members of His Church. The same cannot be said for JWs. Do you think it's appropriate for an employer to fire an employee for something they did outside of work simply because the employer doesn't like it? That's the standard you're setting. If your employer is a vegan, should they have the right to fire you for having a BBQ at your house? Unless those standards are relevant to the work, the employer has no business mucking around in your personal life.

What was the wrong? Being disfellowshiped is 100% separate from your employment. Are you an apostate or somthing? Im a witness and im appalled if someone fires someone just because they were dfed. People get fired for being habitually late, creating mass damage, low performance etc. Not because you left a church or broke a Bible principle. If this really did happen then he should get a lawyer. Matt. True story, I once worked for a corrupt company. The district manager was a nice guy but loved his job to the point of idolatry. Anything negative said about the job he refused to believe, and chopped it up to disgruntled workers or customers. He was blinded by the insanity around him, because of his love for his job. He even said, “anyone saying that our company is a bad, or if they’ve been treated badly, is just a lair.” I left about a month later, I could have sued for what they did to me, but didn’t. company went bankrupt 2 years later, everyone lost their jobs, and had many lawsuits still in the courts. Moral of the story, don’t let your love for the org blind you to what’s happening around you. I’d hate to see you cast out when their Inevitable end comes.

And why do people insist on the "anti-JW" label? I'm not "anti-JW" and neither is DH -- I'm certain of that. I'm pro-JW, actually. I believe that JWs are among those for whom Jesus died, just as he did for me. I'm also pro-truth, which is where I think your confusion comes from. You tend to interpret criticism of WT doctrines and teachings as criticism of JWs, and they're not the same thing. Tell me something -- any time a JW comes to my door and tells me that what I believe is wrong, is he doing that because he's anti-Evan? Would you say that's the case? As far as seeing through BS is concerned, I'd say you have better distance vision than close vision... and probably no mirror.
