Chicken Scratch Apologetics. Jehovah's Witnesses believe Christmas shouldn't be celebrated. They are taught is has pagan origins. Is that true? No, and history proves it, as you'll see.

Christ has set us free from religious superstition. "So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths," Col.2:16 This includes birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving...and all the festive food and drink that accompany. Freedom in Christ. Bondage in Watchtower.
@ThyWordIsTruthJ17
@ThyWordIsTruthJ17 Год назад
This verse makes the opposite point. Paul was stating that the meat and drink offerings and the Jewish feast days and holy days and sabbaths were done away with by Christ's death which was the fulfillment of all those things and that no one may judge you for NOT keeping them as the Judaizers were wont to do which Acts 15 and Galatians deals with.

@@ThyWordIsTruthJ17 no. The Jehovah's Witnesses Watchtower isn't in the Bible. Neither are Governing Board, organization, Publishers, pioneers and Kingdom Hall found anywhere in scripture. The church is only in the New Testament so the Old Testament "Jehovah's Witnesses" don't belong to a New Testament church. The church is called the witnesses of CHRIST (Revelations 20). The correct titles are: Apostles, prophets, evangelist, preachers and teachers are found in Ephesians 4 : 11 through 13. Bishops and deacons are found in 1st Timothy chapter 3. There are many New Testament scriptures for all of those. The Jehovah's Witnesses are a man-made American corporation according to Mathew 16 :18. It has no connection to The original church. According to the Jw leaders, when Jesus came in 1914-1919 & picked them as the true religion ,they were celebrating Christmas. They stopped celebrating around 1930. So it sounds as though the new leader at that time decided to stop them from celebrating Christmas & fabricated so called biblical reasons.

I disassociated 3 months ago but during a couple conversations with an elder I shed some truth on their new light. I had asked "why it is when other religions make predictions or teach things that prove to be false or wrong you consider them to be false prophets and false teachers of Christendom but when this organization does they get to make an adjustment in understanding with new light?" And I also told him that "the truth is always true and it's not subjective so when you're watching the annual meeting and they announce new light just remember that it means they didn't have the truth and neither did you". I hope my words echoed in his head and he felt that sense of hypocrisy when he watched the annual meeting.

Did Jesus not die at thirty-three and a half years old? His death is on Nissan 14th, calling it April 1st round about, so, six months from that approximate date would be his birth would be sometime in October. Isn't the birth of a child something special a time of rejoicing does it matter when you actually celebrate it? Not in the slightest, there have been many times when I was unable to be with my children, such as when I was deployed in othere countries so I celebrated it with them when I came home, did my children care? @@Renewthoughtlife where does the Bible say to remember the anniversary of Jesus’ death? Jesus told his followers (all his followers) to partake of bread and wine as symbols that commemorate his death until he comes (which hasn't happened yet). The early Christian's celebrated the Lord's supper weekly-on Sunday (Acts 20:6-7). So why do you only remember him once a year on a day other than Sunday, contrary to the practice of his disciples? Second, why can't you remember Jesus’ death at Christmas? Here is the second verse of Hark the Herald Angel Sing: Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace! Hail the Sun of Righteousness! Light and life to all He brings Risen *(from what?)* with healing in His wings Mild He lays His glory by Born that man no more may die *(because he died for them)* Born to raise the sons of earth Born to give them second birth Hark! The herald angels sing "Glory to the new-born king" Have you never listened to Handel's Messiah or read Mary's benediction in Luke? How does God save his people Israel? The Lore of Birthdays (New York, 1952) by Ralph and Adelin Linton “Originally the idea [of birthday greetings and wishes for happiness] was rooted in magic. The working of spells for good and evil is the chief usage of witchcraft. One is especially susceptible to such spells on his birthday, as one’s personal spirits are about at that time. Birthday greetings have power for good or ill because one is closer to the spirit world on this day. Good wishes bring good fortune, but the reverse is also true, so one should avoid enemies on one’s birthday and be surrounded only by well-wishers. ‘Happy birthday’ and ‘Many happy returns of the day’ are the traditional greetings” The giving of birthday gifts is a custom associated with the offering of sacrifices to pagan gods on their birthdays. Certainly the custom was linked with the same superstitions that formed the background for birthday greetings. “The exchange of presents… is associated with the importance of ingratiating good and evil fairies… on their or our birthdays” The traditional birthday cake and candles also have their origin in ancient pagan idol worship. The ancients believed that the fire of candles had magical properties. They offered prayers and made wishes to be carried to the gods on the flames of the candles. Thus we still have the widely practiced birthday custom of making a wish, then blowing out the candles. The Greeks celebrated the birthday of their moon goddess, Artemis, with cakes adorned with lighted candles... The Greeks believed that everyone had a protective spirit or daemon who attended his birth and watched over him in life. This spirit had a mystic relation with the god on whose birthday the individual was born. The Romans also subscribed to this idea. . . . This notion was carried down in human belief and is reflected in the guardian angel, the fairy godmother and the patron saint. . . . The custom of lighted candles on the cakes started with the Greeks. . . . Honey cakes round as the moon and lit with tapers were placed on the temple altars of [Artemis]. . . . Birthday candles, in folk belief, are endowed with special magic for granting wishes. . . . Lighted tapers and sacrificial fires have had a special mystic significance ever since man first set up altars to his gods. The birthday candles are thus an honor and tribute to the birthday child and bring good fortune...”

Being raised a JW, I was also told that we do not celebrate birthdays because the birthdays in the Bible always showed something bad associated with them. The example I was given was the beheading of John the Baptist at King Herod's birthday. I never did, and never will understand how JW's can find only negative things in the Bible. They do not focus on the birth, life and death of Christ and the glory to come. Instead, all I remember hearing as a kid was the heroing stories of the witnesses who were being persecuted for their faith. They seem to celebrate persecution and trial. (The Bible tells us that there will be persecution and trials, but it certainly doesn't tell us to focus on them.) The terror as a kid hearing that we have to live through the tribulation or you would be dead forever. No heaven. No hell. In my mind, the god that they serve is cruel and uncaring about his people. That is not the God that I serve! My heart aches for those who have been blinded by these fallen men at the Watchtower Society. I pray for all JWs that their eyes will be opened to the deception that the face from this religion and that they will accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and that they can find the true blessing and joy that comes from being in Christ Jesus. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all! Celebrate the birth of our King and Savior!

Dec 25 is not his birthday - and putting gifts under a tree is weird and does have pagan roots …. But honoring the birth of Jesus and what it meant for the entire inhabited earth … is a very good thing . So maybe Advent is more your flavor. Just don’t participate in the WT black mass where they all pass the bread and wine - their “annual rejection of Christ” is what I call it.

Nowhere in the Bible does it tell us to celebrate his birth, but even if it did, you are celebrating it on the wrong day and one full of pagan customs. "December 25 was already a major festival in the pagan Roman world, the Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, or `Birthday of the Unconquered Sun,' a feast honoring the renewal of the sun at the winter solstice. Pagan celebrations on December 25 had included feasting, dancing, lighting bonfires, decorating homes with greens, and giving gifts. So when this became a Christian [?] festival, the customs continued, but with a Christian [?] meaning imparted to them." - p. 414, Vol. 4, Encyclopedia International, Grolier, Inc., 1966. - Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics, "Most of the Christmas customs now prevailing in Europe [and America] ... are not genuine Christian customs, but heathen customs which have been absorbed or tolerated by the Church... The Saturnalia in Rome provided the model for most of the merry customs of the Christmas time.... Christmas inherited the general merriment in a more restrained form (excessive only in eating and drinking) [but see 1 Pet. 4:3, 4]: games, giving of gifts (especially to children), abundance of sweet meats and, as more ceremonious elements, burning of candles..." - Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics, Hastings, Vol. III, pp. 608, 609

The custom: According to tradition, Jesus’ birth took place on December 25 and is celebrated on that date. “Christmas,” says the Encyclopedia of Religion, means “‘Christ’s Mass,’ that is, the mass celebrating the feast of Christ’s nativity,” or birth. Its roots: “The establishment of December 25 evolved not from biblical precedent,” says The Christmas Encyclopedia, “but from pagan Roman festivals held at year’s end,” about the time of the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. Those festivals included the Saturnalia, in honor of Saturn, god of agriculture, “and the combined festivals of two sun gods, the Roman Sol and the Persian Mithra,” says the same encyclopedia. Both birthdays were celebrated on December 25, the winter solstice according to the Julian calendar.
@STROND
@STROND Год назад
Those pagan festivals began to be “Christianized” in the year 350, when Pope Julius I declared December 25 to be Christ’s birthday. “The Nativity gradually absorbed or supplanted all other solstice rites,” says the Encyclopedia of Religion. “Solar imagery came increasingly to be used to portray the risen Christ (who was also called Sol Invictus), and the old solar disk . . . became the halo of Christian saints.

OK, a lot that I could say, but I will just mention a couple of things. One, Jews didn't celebrate anyone's birthday in Jesus' day because they recognized the link with Astrology. Also, you make it sound like only JW's have a problem with Christmas. Many "Christians" do. Christmas was banned in the UK after the English civil war, and the puritans who emigrated the America didn't celebrate it either. Groups today don't celebrate it. In fact, here on RU-vid, a poster called 'TiborasaurusRex' (NOT a JW) has an excellent 3-part series on it, and if you looked, so do many other CLEARLY non-JW channels. The star was obviously sent by Satan. Remember: it did not guide the magi directly to Jesus. It first led them to Jerusalem and King Herod who wanted to kill Jesus. That would have happened if God hadn't warned them in a dream to go home by another route
@LightoverDarkMinistry
@LightoverDarkMinistry Год назад
You said, "Jews didn't celebrate anyone's birthday in Jesus' day because they recognized the link with Astrology." Show me your biblical sources to confirm this. I've seen "TiborasaurusRex" and his arguments are easily debunked, I recommended, InspiringPhilosophy as he goes into detail with sources, "The star was obviously sent by Satan." There is no evidence for this whatsoever, and it's blasphemy to assume such. The star is supposed to represent Christ as a sign of his coming. They knew he was to be born around Jerusalem, so they would have gone to Harrod anyway. You also ignore the gifts, that are and example of who Christ is, and the gifts would have supported a poor family going to Egypt, that's the Lord providing. There is nothing about the star that proves it's created by the devil, nor is there a verse to support that. It also questions God's sovereignty, as if he couldn't stop Satan's actions to protect is only son. For JW's to hold this believe is Satanic and unbiblical, created only so they can't paint Christian's as Satan worshipers or pagans. It's abhorrent and a slap in the face to God's prophetic word, the birth of the savior and the absolute sovereignty of the Almighty God.
@mattgardiner614
@mattgardiner614 Год назад
@@LightoverDarkMinistryYou said, " It also questions God's sovereignty, as if he couldn't stop Satan's actions to protect is only son." Noooo No! Did I not say "That would have happened if God hadn't warned them in a dream to go home by another route."? So protect him he did. I guess if Jesus was off limits to Satan, somebody forgot to tell Satan. Satan and the demons know what's instore for them and that they will lose. (James 2:19) Didn't stop Satan from trying to tempt Jesus off his course in Matthew 4, and - when it would have done him the least good - didn't stop him from influencing Judas to betray him in John 13 which did lead to his death. "The evening meal was going on, AND THE DEVIL HAD ALREADY PUT IT INTO THE HEART OF JUDAS ISCARIOT, THE SON OF SIMON, TO BETRAY HIM." (John 13:2) "After Judas took the piece of bread, THEN SATAN ENTERED INTO HIM. So Jesus said to him: "What you are doing, do it more quickly." (13:27) Read the entry for 'Satan' in 'Insight on the Scriptures Vol. 2'. More specifically the subheadings 'His fight to destroy the "seed."' and 'Efforts to cause Jesus to stumble'. You said, "The star is supposed to represent Christ as a sign of his coming." So, rather than taking the Magi DIRECTLY to Bethlehem, it first took them to Jerusalem. It was King Herod, not the "star," that was the first to direct the astrologers to Bethlehem. God intervened and told the men NOT to return by way of Jerusalem as Herod had asked. What chain of events then ensued? "Then Herod, seeing that he had been outwitted by the astrologers, flew into a great rage, and he sent out and had all the boys in Bethʹle·hem and in all its districts killed, from two years of age and under, according to the time that he had carefully ascertained from the astrologers." (Matthew 2:16) If your understanding was the correct one; that would kind of make Jehovah complicit in the so-called 'Massacre of the Innocents' wouldn't it? That would appear to me to be a pretty sizable hole in your argument. (Job 34:10) You say, in regards to my comments on birthdays, "Show me your biblical sources to confirm this. " I can't. Nor can you show me any that they did. I can, though, refer you to: 1) "The notion of a birthday festival was far from the ideas of the Christians of this period." (The History of the Christian Religion and Church, During the Three First Centuries, translated by H. J. Rose, 1848, p. 190) 2) "Origen [a writer of the third century C.E.] . . . insists that ‘of all the holy people in the Scriptures, no one is recorded to have kept a feast or held a great banquet on his birthday. It is only sinners (like Pharaoh and Herod) who make great rejoicings over the day on which they were born into this world below."" (The Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913, Vol. X, p. 709.) And 3) the Jews "“regarded birthday celebrations as parts of idolatrous worship . . . , and this probably on account of the idolatrous rites with which they were observed in honor of those who were regarded as the patron gods of the day on which the party was born." (M’Clintock and Strong’s Cyclopædia 1882, Vol. I, p. 817)

Colossians 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Their beliefs are idolatry because they replace GOD. They chose a man who had only two years of Greek from the University of Cincinnati to translate the Bible. He was told to remove all references to the divinity of the messiah. The result was a counterfeit of the true GOD inspired word that has many contradictions and doesn't make sense. The true Bible contains everything we need to be saved so the best translation is needed. If the NWT were so accurate, Everyone would have one. It's no surprise that the WT/slave doesn't celebrate the birth of Christ. It doesn't fit with goals to make the "slave" preeminent in people's lives. According to their own words : - Your spiritual health depends on them. - Your relationship with God depends on them. - Your understanding of scripture depends on them. - Your very salvation depends on your support of them. - Jesus is just an angel and is only half of the Christ. They are the other half. The role is not fulfilled without them. - They also prohibit gatherings for study/instruction/prayer that are not mandated or scheduled by the society. There's no "arrangement" for that. (That's from a letter to the elders, which they typically don't share with publishers. Why is that? What's the purpose of all the cloak-and-dagger stuff?) - They consider their manual for shepherding the flock to be highly confidential. If everything they do is based on scripture, why would that be necessary? Why not walk in the full light of day? They've minimized the role of Jesus, rendered scripture as a sideline to their publications, and destroyed the teaching and edification work of the Holy Spirit? They have torn down the things of God and raised themselves up as a replacement. And they accuse others of idolatry for putting an evergreen tree in their house...

SEEMS DARK LIGHT IS LYING ABOUT MANY FACTS REGARDING THE ANCIENT ROMAN TRADITIONS AND PRACTICES CONCERNING SATURNALIA AND THE DAYS THAT FOLLOWED INTO THE WINTER SOLSTICE Macrobius (5th century CE) presents an interpretation of the Saturnalia as a festival of light leading to the winter solstice.[34][14](1.1.8-9) The renewal of light and the coming of the new year was celebrated in the later Roman Empire at the Dies Natalis of Sol Invictus, the "Birthday of the Unconquerable Sun," on December 25.[35] ROME'S ADOPTION OF CHRISTIANITY (300 CE.) CONVERTED THESE OLD TRADITIONS INTO NEW GOD OF WORSHIP AND PRAISE TOWARD JESUS CHRIST THEIR NEW GOD OF LIGHT. One widespread explanation of the origin of this date is that December 25 was the Christianizing of the dies solis invicti nati (“day of the birth of the unconquered sun”), a popular holiday in the Roman Empire that celebrated the winter solstice as a symbol of the resurgence of the sun, the casting away of winter and the heralding of the rebirth of spring and summer.

Satan is the tree goddess. Her branches are in the heavens and her roots in the earth. She inspires the angels in heaven to rebel and come down to the earth. The angels are the shiny dewdrops. So the lighted Christmas tree represents Satan and her rebellion. The arrival of the Messiah is celebrated in the Fall by the festival of booths. Christ's sacrifice is celebrated during Passover week. But that means Christ becomes human at the time of the winter solstice. So Jehovah's Witnesses pointed out in the sixth volume of "Studies In The Scriptures" that the Annunciation occurred on December 25th. So when Christ becomes human it is always on the 25th of December. So December 25 is relevant. The annunciation occurred on December 25 and the second coming took place on December 25. Thanks for posting these details. Now inform us about how pagan Easter is. I'm anxious to see how much you actually know. Have a blessed day.

Should Christmas be celebrated? What does the Bible say? Remember 2 Timothy 3:16 says that all scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight….. Christmas tree?? Jeremiah 10:1-5 says do not learn the way of the nations….for the customs of the people are a delusion……it is a tree of the forest that is cut down……they adorn it silver and gold….and fasten it with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over. What about the star of Bethlehem that is normally placed on top of the Christmas tree? This ‘miraculous’ star first led the astrologers to King Herod, who wanted to kill Jesus. After Herod, the star immediately led the astrologers straight to Jesus. After Jesus, they started back to Herod, but one of God’s angels told them to go a different way. Matthew 2:1-12 What about Santa? Are we telling false stories? 2 Timothy 4:4 1Timothy 4:7 2 Peter 1:16 1 Timothy 1:4 What about birthdays? Ecc 7:1 says that your day of death is better than your day of birth. Did you know that there are 2 places in the Bible where someone was celebrating a birthday? Phar’aoh celebrated his birthday. Was he a worshipper of God? Genesis 40:20 Herod celebrated his birthday. Was he a worshipper of God? Matthew 14:6 In both of these accounts, someone died, one of them being John the Baptist, Jesus’ own cousin. Please remember 2 Timothy 3:16.

Whenever you see a JW or a JW publication using ellipsis you should immediately suspect that they are misrepresenting their source. Case in point is Steve's citation of Jeremiah 10. Is this speaking about Christmas trees? Not at all, but with the ellipsis he makes it appear as if the passage is speaking about Christmas trees. Let's look at the passage without the ellipsis: For the religion of these people is worthless. *They cut down a tree in the forest, and a craftsman makes it into an idol with his tools.* He decorates it with overlays of silver and gold. He uses hammer and nails to fasten it together so that it will not fall over. Such idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field. They cannot talk. They must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them because they cannot hurt you. And they do not have any power to help you.” (Jer. 10:3-5 NET) As we can see, this passage is speaking about people who cut down a tree and craft it into an idol. They decorate the idol that they've made with silver and gold. Do Christians cut down a tree and carve it into an idol that they worship? No. This is a classic example of JWs ripping verses out of context.

For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. (Jer. 10:3-5 KJV) Why would a Christmas tree speak? Why would people be afraid of a Christmas tree? Do you think that a Christmas tree can speak? Do you thin that people are afraid of Christmas trees? Of course not! This passage is speaking about making an idol out of wood and worshiping it. The idol (made of wood) has a mouth (because the artisan gave it one) but it cannot speak-because it is not alive but made of wood. People are afraid of the idol because they think it is really a god. Is this passage speaking of Christmas trees? No. You have to be a completely devoid of any intelligence to think this passage is speaking of Christmas trees, but since JWs are not honest people, you refuse to admit such things.

Genesis 9:13-15 - "I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh." That's the Biblical background of the rainbow. And yet the LGBTQ*.* community has so thoroughly co-opted it that the majority of the world is no longer aware of the Biblical origin, and most Christians are afraid to celebrate it. Why should a group like that tell us what something should mean to us? Should we lay aside remembrance of a gift from God because someone else has perverted the symbol? May it never be so. Why treat Christmas any differently? Who really cares if pagans once used trees or candles for their own purposes? Should we therefore ignore all of the Biblical uses of the word "candle", which is used to describe light, life and good news just because someone else uses it in some sinful ritual? Of course not. The "thing" is not important. I keep candles around my house to provide light on the frequent occasions that a winter storm knocks out my power, or on the rare occasion when the fish I fried for support stunk up the kitchen. Are those uses of candles also pagan? Certainly not. The intention -- the "heart" if you will -- behind using the candle is what matters. If a brightly lit evergreen causes Christians to be more mindful of Christ's birth and the ultimate purpose it served, and those thoughts invoke in us gratitude and joy, should we care that others may have used trees for different purposes in the past? Of course not. If we put up trees and then indulge in some sort of pagan rites around them, we must certainly cast off such things. But that's not why Christians put up trees. Can we not reclaim the use of trees, candles, and song to the glory of God? We can -- and we SHOULD. Let's not let the pagans decide what we can and cannot do. 1 Corinthians 8:8-9 -- "But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse. But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak." If the faith of someone like a JW is weak such that the use of tree, candle or song would cause them to stumble or to cling more firmly to their own bondage, let's not push our liberty on them. We don't need to prove to them that celebrating the birth of Jesus is okay, but neither should we wave it in their faces if it makes them more resistant to the true Gospel, which they do not yet apprehend. How foolish would we be to win the argument, only to lose the soul. Let's enjoy our liberty in Jesus and treat the JWs as Peter suggests -- with gentleness and respect. (I'll be the first to admit that I fail in this regard frequently, but God isn't finished with me yet.)

The birthday candles are thus an honor and tribute to the birthday child and bring good fortune...”

@@Mr.DC3.1914 Mr. D good to see you, you know it’s even funnier about your own religion Mr. D is the fact that they say that Christmas came from pagan origin. Actually pagan stole the Christmas idea from Christians that is fact. Secondly it’s really funny how that you as a Jehovah’s Witness would actually come onto a channel like this and start more stuff, and also not have faxed back you up just like you tried to debate me and I absolutely obliterated you and destroyed you on every single stinking comment that you gave. Not only that but also it’s even funnier that you as a Jehovah’s Witness yourself when you said that Jesus is an eternal but your own New World translation says that is eternal but you yourself say he’s not eternal going with your own teachers is even more funny. And continuing in the hilarity of it all your own teachers completely contradict them selves every step of the way because you’re only will translation actually contradicts the teachings of your teachers by far. For instance that Jehovah God is coming physically on the clouds of heaven in Jesus Himself claims to be the eternal God of all creation who’s coming on the clouds of heaven according to Revelation chapter 1 verse seven and eight, and also that your own teachers believe that Jehovah God is called the first and the last and that Jehovah God himself in revelation chapter 2 verse eight and Revelation chapter 1 verse 17 and 18 Jehovah God Himself says in this very passage that he himself died. Also it’s even more ironic and funny that you yourself don’t even know scripture and it’s even more funny and ironic that you guys also teach that a eternal force created everything and that the Holy Spirit is not a person even though your own New World translation completely contradicts what you just said because an eternal force cannot be lied to, so according to ask chapter 5 verse three and four in your New World translation the Holy Spirit is called God by Peter and is also said to be lied to you because you can only light of God and God is an eternal spirit so that would make The Holy Spirit god of all eternity. Along with the son and the father. And it’s even funnier and more ironic that you as a ignorant Jehovah’s Witness who knows nothing of Scripture and refuses to read the very Scriptures that I gave you from your own New World translation. So naturally what’s even funnier is that when you bash Christmas and say that Christmas came from Pegan origin how about this did you know that your own roots of the Jehovah’s Witness organization is steeped imp ionism oh it absolutely is you guys are Polytheus because you guys both say oh Jesus is the true God plus Jehovah God the father is the true God you can’t have two true gods there’s only one so then that would mean that Jesus is either a false God or the true and living God of the Old Testament, so we’re going to go with the latter and that would mean that Jesus is the true and living out of the Old Testament so if you have two true gods and that’s polytheism genius that’s even more funny. So it’s funny to say that Christians celebrate a pagan holiday when you yourself have on your own watchtower publications a pagan solar disk coming from Egypt, Christians don’t celebrate paganism paganism stole Christmas from Christians. However your entire Jehovah’s Witness roots are steeped in paganism and the solar disc is one of them. Also Jehovah’s Witnesses founder Charles Taze Russell is buried underneath a pagan symbol in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and that is he is buried underneath a pyramid and wrapped in a pagan garment which was a toga he’s wrapped in it.
