First deportations begin under Biden's new immigration order

Wednesday marked the first day of deportations under President Biden's latest executive order on immigration. The order turns away migrants seeking asylum at the southern border who crossed illegally when there are more than 2,500 daily encounters between ports of entry. John Moritz, chief politics reporter for the Austin American-Statesman, joins CBS News to discuss how Texas leaders feel about the new policy.

My uncle has a ranch in Mercedes TX and people keep cutting his fences and sneaking across the pasture they do it at night so they don't get caught and almost every night when I lived at the ranch I saw someone smuggling people up the river in a small boat at night and we told the sheriff and they didn't do anything about it it's a mess down here in south Texas

Biden should have never reversed Trump's border policy on his first day in office. Trump's border policy was the most effective policy I have ever seen as a federal law enforcement officer. Unfortunately biting dismantled that system which is why we now have almost 17 million illegal immigrants in the country, learning very quickly how to use the system to their advantage..

I’ve watched Mayorkas several time to try to understand. I think he said it would be cut off at 1500 for the first week 2500 the second week, and unlimited on the weekend, and no counting the got away, and that’s for every port of entry, I think he said there is 28 ports, not counting all the ones that are flown in, or bused in. It’s pretty confusing, but I think it’s supposed to be 😂😂😂

Ok this is exactly what happened! I have relatives that are into politics down in México. They open the borders to all these south Americans cause we are short in labor workers here in the USA. Our kids won't work on construction, in the fields etc, etc so they thought that by letting all these people would help with our shortage, but they didn't know that most of these people won't like to work lol.
