What would it cost, and what would need to be replaced on the engine and transmission to get to the next level? I'm guessing since you're in the 500s now that with those changes on the hybrid type turbo you have that you could see power in the 700s? Then, after that, I guess comes exhaust manifold, bigger turbo, and then upgraded fuel system? I can't speak for everyone but I love the RS3 content. When you've gotten as far as you want to take that, you should consider picking up a V8 manual R8 and then supercharging it with suspension, exhaust, wheels and etc. I don't really know anyone that has done that on RU-vid, and their prices have come way down. APRs US division is in Alabama my home state, all of their track passes are at my home drag strip. When they were finished with and testing the supercharged 4.2 in their R8 it was insane. There were always pretty big car meets in Auburn and they would bring their cars out or stuff they were developing and the V8 R8 with their SC made an impression. It certainly wasnt the fastest but it seemed so well sorted and a perfect chassis for the power it had.
I love this whole build. It’s got the perfect amount of power for a fun daily and makes all the right sounds while you’re riding in complete comfort. Audi has been killing it with their RS models over the last decade and this is s perfect example. They also leave plenty on the table when it comes to tuning from the factory
Stage 2 isn't necessarily a "50/50" situation on these cars if they're tuned conservatively to protect the rods. Take a look at DynoSpectrum as an example. Literally thousands of RS3's without bent rods. That gives me some comfort anyway! ;)
Amazing how electronics have moved on. When I was driven in the S1 E2 at David Sutton the car had an honest 530bhp and 395f/lbs. There was nothing below 5200rpm, when I say nothing I mean Golf GTD, then 5200 - 8200rpm it felt like you'd been hit from behind by a freight train. Love Audi's '5' sadly just about done. Keep up the great content mate
What a brute!! Definitely builds hard all the way up to the top of the revs! Do you think you will go for internals rebuild to eliminate risk to engine? Great video bro
Also glad you mentioned it’s faster than the mk8r by quite a bit. In the previous videos I’ve seen so many comments talking about the 8R being on par or faster than the rs3
Despite being on stock internals, I definitely will proceed further to Stage 3, I will eventually build the engine but after watching this I am so sold😭
keen to see your other plans for this beast. i think stronger internals and higher boost would be interesting. ive yet to see someone take an RS3 further and document it on youtube
More content is coming on this I’m sure. I seen you today 28/04/2023 on the M42 headed towards M6 toll. I was in my McDonald’s truck, as soon as I seen that registration I knew it was you.
I would love to hear more of your thoughts on the Unitronic dogbone mount. Do you still have it installed? Would you recommend the piece for a daily driven RS3 at stage 1+ power levels? My shifts are clunkier than I would like, for sure.
5 cylinder Audi noises will never get old ! Just out of curiosity how much time goes into recording & editing a video like this one in particular Hamza ?
@@TRHamza I’ve always been curious I know for a fact it wouldn’t just be no quick half a day job filming & editing task. You can always tell just how much time & effort goes into your videos when they’re published. Been a viewer of the channel now for a number of years & still look forward to the next upload. The unit is most certainly a valuable piece of the channel now. Keep up the good work & continuous effort !
I said it on the last video and I'll say it again. I would love to have a white or blue RS3 safely taken to the limit of the stock internals on E85, on slightly lowered suspension with some lighter upgraded wheels with a wider sticker tire.
And that's the difference to the 4 cylinder VW engines - even if they can be made to go as fast or faster, there is something special about the way the Audi 5 pot sounds.
Another great vid👏🏻 Do you have a specific map for the octane booster? It would be interesting to test the octane booster in a standard remap (like stage 2) to see if makes any difference.
If the stage 2 map is an off the shelf map, it's most likely not fully efficient and will see some gains with an octane booster. If it's a GOOD custom map, then you'll next to no gains. Octane booster just heightens the octane of the fuel allowing for an earlier ignition on the pistons way up during the compression stage. If you map for the octane booster, the ignition will be earlier than a normal map and will create more compression = create more power
@@1993j yh i get that the correct way is remap with the booster. But i have always been curious of what happens if you just drop it in your remapped car and go “mexico” hahahah
Dropped a rod on my Stage 2 Unitronic E85 RS3 with only 13k miles on the clock, 10k or so while Stage 2. It's definitely a big risk to run Stage 2 or even higher power levels on stock internals, and it's quite expensive if a rod decides to prematurely exit the block. Save yourself the money and time, and build the block before you have issues!
Asalamo alekum bro MASHA ALLAH nice video I am having a problem with my golf 5gti dsg multitrinic paddle shift running stage 2 with 76mm down pipe resonator deleted car drove awesome a whole year but 2months ago my car started to misfire after a rough driving on manual and sports mode on a high way but as soon I get to busy traffic roads and driving on d mode the car starts to mk a push when shifting and misfire at times changed spark plugs misfire was gone but other issue of driving on D mode after rough driving the push and power should still decrease went to diagnose only evap related codes were captured incorrect air purge flow replaced N80 valve and evap canister code didn't return but problem remained the same removed manifold cleaned intake valves no positive response started with fuel related replacing intake fuel pump high pressure fuel sensor new cam follower even though old1 was not worn swoped high pressure fuel pump and still no results then I was told to disconnect o2 bank1 sensor and test drive as bank2 sensor is off by map tuning by disconnecting the o2 sensor car drive like a dream problem fully sorted but after replacing the o2 sensor the car is again doing the same 😢😢😢😢 even replaced pcv valve I am so frustrated Kasam I don't know what to do anymore saw ur video and now thinking maybe it's my coils bcs the mechanic only could find misfire by one coil and replaced 1 and other coils r weak too after getting to maximum heat after rough driving and if I let it cool for a while then it's OK to drive on D mode sm1 said u must switch the o2 sensor off by the tuner and drive like that but my concern the whole year car was driving fine with only 2nd sensor switched off😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 please bro help im a big fan of urs and watch al ur videos which encouraged me to do stage 2 and downpipe with pop and bangs now im sitting with a sore heart after spending such a bunch of money i still cant get my problem sorted neither these so called experts 😢😢😢😢😢😢
