Hi Erinna. I'm a bit late this time :) The lead singer Simone Simons was only 19 here (she's 37 now). The video is originally from 2004 and it was a live TV studio session. You should definitely react to more videos from it! For example "Feint". Just make sure you find a HD/4K version! The original videos are only 240p and have poor sound quality. There are newer re-uploads, digitally improved. I will forever be in love with this wonderful voice! Did you notice she sounds differently here than in any newer Epica videos? Probably not as you're relatively new to Epica. Simone actually doesn't like her own voice from this early era. It was still an immature voice, not a proper operatic soprano, but many fans totally love it, including myself :) In fact, I prefer this young Simone's voice, it was so warm and gentle, simply beautiful, just like she is :) The pianist is Coen Janssen. He is the keyboardist of Epica and in newer videos (2014 onward) he's completely bald. The blonde woman is Amanda Somerville, a Canadian singer featured in many backing vocals of Epica. She was Simone's vocal coach at some point.
