I still have my RuneScape account from 2006… haven’t logged in though since 2014… I might give it a shot. I had maxed like 15 skills and had 300 million cash.
Long after being sick and "losing strength": repping 2x his body 5x like nothing...average healthy guy, struggling to rep body 5x LOL So inspiring bro!
@@HangNguyen-jy9qr idk if that is the way to go. Like larry is training to get stronger, and Long has been on the same level for years now, and looks like hes only maintaining.
Siblings usually butt heads all the time especially brother and sister. Seeing them so close made me smile and speaks a lot to you and you’re wife’s parenting. Very cool, I don’t have kids but when I do there’s a lot I can take from watching your interactions with your kids.
Man, I have COVID right now. It sucks. I haven’t been able to lift in a week. Having to miss gym sessions sucks. Glad to see you recovered and got back in there.
Seems like covid will affect everyone differently. Someone who I worked with had covid and showed light symptoms and I was tested positive but was completely asymptomatic. There are also people who get vaccinated and still die from it so it really depends on who you are. I've heard that vitamin D is supposed to get you past any symptoms.
Glad to hear you and your family have recovered from Covid ! No point in rushing back to try and get back to where you were prior to Covid, the strength will return with time and repetition.
This is pretty dang inspiring considering I'm getting over covid and the join pain from the vaccine, bout to hit chest rn. your strength to weight ratio is INSANE its inspiring!
Just want to let you know you are awesome. Watching your video is such an humbling experience for me. Kinda makes me want to do better in every aspects of my life. Best wishes! And so so happy you and your family are safe!
Great video long glad to hear you and the family are doing good. I just hit 245lb PR on the bench following your program. Its always motivating to watch your videos.
Just completed my 4th session of your program, my form is back to feeling very stable, numbers are up about 10 pounds after returning at 185. Hoping to get back to 225 in the next 5-6 weeks
I think it's good, especially for younger lifters, to see you have to build back up. Its something you've gotten use to and you focus on keeping yourself injury free which is good for beginners, and even intermediates to see.
I got a new gym membership at a gym with free weight barbell bench and squat racks. My precious gym only had smith machines, and I’m loving the free weights.
I love your videos. I've been training not very frequently recently but decided to start supplementing my diet with whey and creatine. My diet is veggie/vegan so having the creatine really helps. My strength has shot up and I've managed to increase my bench to 140kg. I'm at around 85kg hydrated now. Whereas I was about 81-82 prior
I’m 19 and I had covid recently as well, lost 10 pounds in about 10 days and the gym was very hard to get back into. Like you said, my endurance was not even close to what it was prior, but luckily strength remained relatively similar- losing about 15% of my strength overall.
@@HaloDude557 if I didn’t lose it where did it go? No matter what form the weight was in, weight is weight and is crucial to strength. I’m still recovering from some lung issues but hope to get back to where I was
@@youthought878 Well in that case I lose 2 pounds when pooping lol. I think people overexaggerate their weight loss in many instances. Lean mass and fat is the best metric to track what you lost and how it relates to performance in the long run.
@@HaloDude557 yea and you lose weight over night when your stomachs digesting, point is it’s easy to maintain a pretty balanced weight but when u notice a 10+ pound loss it’s never a good thing if you’re trying to bulk up
Man, lucky you, you don't have the post-covid syndrome. Me, however, I had it and lasted almost a month after being free from it. Those were - Tinnitus and Vertigo(and I lost my balance a lot since my covid were considered as Severe - [there are MILD, SEVERE, and CRITICAL]). I cant even hardly maxxed up my lung breathing 100%, maybe its about 80-85%, this is after free from covid. But thank God! Vertigo is gone, I hate it a lot. But Tinnitus is still here for a month now. I still didn't go to the Gym yet as I'm still trying to get some stretch or back to basic. Start from home stretching and mild exercise. And now lifting 40lbs DB at home without getting dizzy now. And next month, I'm surely going to get back to the Gym. Anyway, glad to see you guys recovered well...
Is this a new program bro cause it looks like it a lot as it's very interesting how you approach the weight? Good lift, finally happy you back and I'm nearly done 2nd time using the program and I'm making some good gainz paused reps with quite heavy loads.
Damn, almost twenty-four years of benching 😮 I'm at six years, and I'm 42, still trying to reach 3-plate. Wish I'd started a long time ago. At least my son has a headstart 😅
Just curious and I mean no disrespect, have you had an injury on your right side? I notice when you rep you generally struggle on that side and curious if it's a genetic difference, a previous injury, or what happens. I struggle on something similar. Thanks!
i had to take 3 weeks off because we went back into lockdown and boy did i make a mistake. pulled my back the first day back. sure hope i took it slower than i did (even tho i did take some weight off the bar). better to take it down too much than not enough
You know I got vaccinated as soon as it was available so I avoided getting covid and having a long recovery back to lifting again. Never skipped a beat
@@kiwi9660 he probably makes some little side money from youtube, but I doubt it’s that much. I hope he does really well from youtube but they don’t pay that much to their creators
Have had a pain/soreness upper chest near shoulders, don’t know if pec or rotator cup. Took a 10 day break pain is manageable but present during lift. have y’all experienced this from benching and any pointers?
@@UFpwrLifter Thanks for answer! Ah okay. some wrist injury? The name ”close grip bench” itself can be a bit missleading since the grip isnt actually that close lol. just a little narrower than normal bench. for me example since im benching kinda between close grip and normal bench grip. Ive trained with ur benchprogram for a while now but i have only benched 2times a week and my bench has got so much stronger so thanks alot for that.
What’s going on sir, I just got through covid too. I’m 240, Filipino and working on getting strong like you. Actually just started, but I have a bench at the house and always scared to max out or go till failure cuz I don’t have a spotter. But I’ve always had trouble with heavier weight, what’s a good plan, to go with to get stronger.
Yeah but the only problem is it kinda gets in the way it’s the golds gym xrs 20, but I’ll figure something out, but to get strong how many times a day/week do you bench to keep from injury. Seems your up there and maintaining, what to tell a beginner
I notice a specific style of Long benching.. is your technique to focus mainly on eccentric and exert minimal energy for concentric? What is your overall goal?
how bad did you get covid? my dad has it and now has every symtom fever and shortness or breath to. did you get all those symtoms then get better? I'm worried thanks
i am new to benching..is it an issue if i'm naturally lifting up one side first before the other? or should i be lifting both sides exactly at the same height at the same time?
