The reason Adele has done it again (that is pumping out a killer song soaring the charts): This is real! A real piano, a real voice, not always perfect, no autotune, but real emotions, interesting chord progressions, interesting melody. This is what people are craving for and what has unfortunately become so rare in modern music. And Adele is a classic and this song is another classic in the line of the likes of „Someone like you“ and so many others.

Wow. Seriously? She’s the biggest selling recording artist since 2000! She’s now 33, and has 120 MILLION records. She won her first Grammy in 2009 for Best New Artist. Her albums are named after her age when she started working on them. Hence, her albums are titled “19”; “21”, and “25”. This new album is titled “30”. And fyi. Adele Blue Adkins (her full name) is the only recording artist to have won Grammys for’ Song of the Year”, “Record of the Year” and “Album of the Year” TWICE. Hi Gitana. like your imagination in interpreting this song, and I think I agree. It's about "it's time to move on, I gave it my best shot, it didn't quite work out the way... I think it also means "I am not going to stop being who I am or what I do..." thought I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it 'positive', that's positive. You're also right about people reacting to it differently. I'd be interested in hearing your reaction to Angelina's (all-too-short) cover of this song. She covered it less than 12 hours after Adele released it. Which was rather fast.

I'm Similar, I was young when I became a Father, tried to do the right thing, but only made things worse for the both of us. Stuck it out for 4 years , but then got the courage do what was best for me and in turn best for her. We knew nothing at the time.

You don't NEED the "it can be interpreted many ways" disclaimer, because she's outright said its about divorce. A little interpretation can be done maybe on who she's talking to. Eventually I came to the conclusion she's talking to her child, not her spouse. The video opening is also a clear mirroring of the "Hello" video, but she's departing a house, not settling into one.

I wanted to tell you that Allie Sherlock is 16 years old and she has basically just been playing on the street by herself or with a couple other band members or some friends she is singing this in Dublin Ireland she has lived there all of her life her mother died when she was 9 years old and she only has her father and her and no brothers and noses
