Another great soul singer. "Let's Stay Together" was Al Green's biggest hit. But he had a lot of great songs in the 70's including "Take Me To The River", "Tired Of Being Alone", "I'm Still In Love With You", "Love & Happiness", "For The Good Times" etc. He also became a pastor after facing a tragedy in his life (girlfriend's suicide) & performed gospel music for a time.

If you wanna hear some killer Al Green, in 1973 he appeared on Chicago's TV special "Chicago In The Rockies", you can see on RU-vid a clip of Al Green in Chicago's studio with Chicago playing Al's "Tired Of Being Alone" and Al singing. Man, Chicago's brass & rhythm with Al's soulful voice, THAT is something to be seen and heard!

Al Green is one of my favorite singers ever. I'm from Detroit, and thankfully he played quite a few shows here between 2001 and 2016. I was able to see him live 3 times before he stopped touring. He's always incredible. He never lost his voice. He can still hit the high notes, and he's very proud of it. 🤣😂 My personal favorite is "For the Good Times". But I'd recommend anything from his greatest hits. You can't really go wrong.

Yes it's a Bee Gees song. Everyone on the planet knows who wrote the song. However he did it better than they did. I heard someone say that this was how the Bee Gee wanted to sound. It happens sometimes.
