I loved the reaction! Jerry Reed was a talented guitar player, singer, and songwriter! He was respected and admired by many guitar players and musicians! Among the top guitarists that admired Jerry were Chet Atkins, who duo'ed with him many times, and Glen Campbell, part of the famous L.A. studio musicians known as "The Wrecking Crew".

Jerry Reed "Eastbound and Down" check out the live version, you get to see Jerry perform. He was a badass singer and guitar player. Love him 😊He was also in "Smokey & The Bandit" movie with Burt Reynolds and Sally Field. Damn funny movie. Jerry could write a hit song in an hour!

You need to hear his East Bound and Down about picking up Coors beer in Texarkana and hauling it to Atlanta. Yes, there was a time you couldn't buy Coors east of Texas. I remember driving into Oklahoma from Arkansas to try Coors.

Yes, too short! I love your reaction! This is my fav Jerry Reed song (and that bass and funk background - love it!) I just can't hold still listening to this - and I see that you couldn't either lol! I was lucky enough years ago to see Jerry Reed live in concert. What a genuinely warm and friendly person. It was so clear that he loved performing. He is a legend. I listened to with my siblings in the early 70s. My daughter shared this with her students in Florida back in 2020-2021. The kids thought she was lying😅😢😅

Jerry Reed is one of a kind. Even fought Elvis and his management over copywrites for the songs Elvis covered. Jerry stood up to Elvis. They became fast friends for standing up to "the King". The Song was "Guitar Man". His guitar player couldn't play it proerly as Jerry used a unique tuning, while writing it BTW worthy of a listen

Gotta try out Jim Stafford a listen. He’s another story teller and great guitarist from Florida. He was famous in the late 60’s early 70’s. Spiders and Snakes, Wildwood Weed, Husband in Law are a few of his hits. He’s a great story

Jerry is one of the elite pickers along with Roy Clark, Jim Stafford and others that are better than most all guitarists out there. Don’t believe me? Ask John 5. He got his passion and love for playing guitar, banjo, mandolin, etc from watching these guys perform on Hee Haw as a kid. These guys played music that is used in World Champion music competitions. Jim Stafford would play a piece from some of the most difficult guitar music out there in his comedy skit and flub it up for a punchline. 😂
