Tears for Fears has a very HUGE sound. I remember being dragged to see them live back in the day with my then BF. He was a fan, I only knew a few songs from radio play. These guys killed it live. I left that show a true blue fan. Shout is another really BIG sounding song. Also, that's a chimp..ape, not a monkey. If you ever watch Planet of the Apes, you will never make that mistake again. 😂

I was homesick but this song helped put a smile on my face whenever I heard it …now it is like a Time Machine that takes me back and makes me feel so reminiscent. It is crazy how fast time goes and it reminds me to enjoy your life while you can as you only get once chance to do it !,…shon you are an awesome young man and I love watching you discover the music that was the anthems of my youth…

Hey Shon, I'm glad you're enjoying listening to "Tears For Fears." Here's another suggestion, if interested. "Tears For Fears - Woman In Chains ft. Oleta Adams" (by the channel: Tears For Fears) --This song was originally released in 1989 and prominently features Oleta Adams alongside Tears For Fears her soulful vocals lent depth and emotion to the song, creating a hauntingly unforgettable experience. Both Adams and Tears For Fears used this song to capitalize on the singer solo success while also boosting the bands commercial success as well. And as always, I enjoyed rocking with you, Shon. Thanks for sharing. peace out~

About the chimpanzee. Back in the 80s, with MTV and music videos being new, it opened a whole new world of creativity & trying new things for director, stylists etc. They did crazy abstract things, performance art stuff, things they just thought were absurd, anything went. Who knows why the chimp was in there but we didn't question it, it was all a part of the huge explosion of creative stuff we'd see every single day on MTV and we just accepted the boundaries being pushed & loved whatever they came up with. I consider myself very lucky to have grown up in the 70s/80s where creativity & being different, silly, weird, cool etc was normal.

My guys!! I've seen them now 4 times over the stretch of TFF's career. Keep in mind, this song is 40+ years old, so they don't look like that anymore, but their voices are still top notch. Check out their newest album (2022) called The Tipping Point. Still can sing, still powerful, but with a few decades of experience to add to the lyrics. I have someone for you that I would love to hear what you think of him. His name is Tom Cochrane and is canadian. He has been around since the 80's and still going strong today. It's a shame he is not more well know because he's fantastic. He was the lead singer for the group Red Rider in the beginning of his career. His most known hit was #1 on the charts. It was called Life is a highway. He has many other hits as well including, Big League, which is dedicated to the Humbolt Bronco's, a high-school hockey team(Saskatchwan) of which 13 of them including their coach were killed in a horrific bus accident.😢

You nailed the Four Leaf Clover Irish lucky charm. Nice review, you can't go wrong with Tears For Fears, whether it is Roland on lead vocal (Head Over Heels) or Curt on lead vocal (Everybody Wants To Rule The World) for my money they are the best band to come out of the 80's, and they are still making great music today. In my opinion their best two songs are the absolutely incredible Woman In Chains which has Oleta Adams on guest vocals, and Sowing The Seeds Of Love which features Roland again. Keep up the good work and cover more TFF, they have a large library of great songs.
