That's really cool man. From building rods to making lures. Make sure you tey Plymouth pond sometime. A warden i had talked to years ago believes that the next record bass and pickeral will come out of Plymouth pond. Im in Kansas now so I'll leave it up to you bud

If you heat up your blending block it doesn't cool the plastic while it's running through it. I bought a Q I & More dual injector and was shocked how hard it was to push. I was kind of fearful of leaning into it so hard pouring single molds that they would tip over and spew hot plastic all over. It's not really an issue if you have several molds clamped together to pour. I took the inside O-rings off the pistons and that helped some. A friend had a Bass Tackle dual injector and I tried it and there's a night and day difference is ease of use. I bought a Bass Tackle dual when they finally became available (they are more expensive) and disassembled my Q I & M as use them as single injectors. The issue isn't the quality of the injector but the design, the wider cylinders cause much more resistance. With a singe injector it's not much of an issue but I did buy a Bass Tackle single too and there is a difference that is very noticeable when using one right after another while pouring several molds at one time so I tend to use the Q I & M injectors for single colors to maintain constant feel for how much pressure to use. I do like the wider injectors of the Q I & M better when pouring the plastic directly into the injector over the narrower ones. Your first try came out better than mine did! Getting colors that show up against each other is my biggest hurdle. Good luck
