@@mikeguzzetta Hi Mike! Yes, this kind of music was so popular at the end of the 70's and the beginning of the 80's, and Frank Farian was an important piece on all this. I don't remember it because I was born at that time, but I remember, when I was a little child, to my parents playing records at home of Boney M and Eruption… and also ABBA, Amii Stewart, Tina Charles, Donna Summer…. etc etc
IMPORTANT!!! --- Dear Dereck, younger reactors always complain about the "stiff" audience. Back in the day, the performance was seen as a piece of art, to be appreciated and you had to pay complete attention to it. Thus, people sat still and just listened and watched (like you still do with classical music). Nowadays the performances are perceived as pure entertainment, produced for the audience, withourt basically any high artistic value. This means basically a devaluation of the art.

First the audience is that way and not making a commotion and yahooing it because they were told not to, sometimes back in the day when they were actually filming something like this they wanted the audience to be kind of settled thereby keeping the emphasis on the band and singer without distractions from the audience.
