This is probably the most underrated horror film ever. Nobody ever brings it up in a conversation in regards to fav horror movies. Most people haven't even seen it. Once you do though it will legitimately scare the hell out of you. The death scenes were extremely graphic in nature but very little gore. This movie didn't need gore. It literally creeped you out with mere suggestion. Btw. Congrats on your channel blowing up. I was a subscriber when you had about 4k subscribers. I had another account that I since deleted. Lost all my hearts and likes on my olde comments which now have went poof... oh well, lol.

I agree that it feels underrated. After the new "Science of Scare"-list that the Broadband Choices company did were Sinister ranks #1 in the highest heartrate BPM, it feels like it has gotten a lot more traction.

I liked the way both ash and Hannah picked up on score soundtrack to this movie.. imo really enhanced the tone of this disturbing yet entertaining flick. Perhaps score can be described as unsettling or no pun intended sinister…. Another great reaction😊

I’m an avid horror movie watcher and I’ve seen hundreds of horror films since I was a young girl. No movie has scared me like “exorcism of Emily rose” ..truly TERRIFYING beyond belief.. I still think about that one from time to time. I think we all have that one movie that stays with you forever.

Hannah went to clown school. No neck Hannah. Movie is known to cause crazy reactions in the theatres. Hannah is an actress (She'd appreciate the acting. Well, David's acting in the first and all the acting in the second Terrifier). It's like the perfect recipe for a reaction... and a huge letdown if it doesn't happen

The music is abstract electronica, or glitch, including tracks by the excellent band Boards of Canada. Sinister uses glitch the way 28 Days Later used post-rock. I like the use of ambient-style music by younger filmmakers. It has a contemporary feel of anxiety in the age of media, rather than the orchestrated scores of older films that feel a little “leading” now.

YES I’m an avid horror movie watcher, it’s my favorite genre. I’ve watched hundreds of horror films throughout my life since I was little and none scared me. Until I saw that movie. I still think about it from time to time. Truly the most horrifying movie I’ve watched and probably ever will watch in my life. It’s a horror film that doesn’t rely on jump scares to scare you.. and that should tell you something. I honestly wouldn’t recommend the movie to just anyone, it’s not for the faint of heart. I’d love to see their reaction though! It would be insane.

hannah’s really gotten better at watching horror! it is def a learned skill. like i was too scared to watch a lot of stuff and when i was 12 i just slowly started watching more and more horror movies. now i’m 24 and a pretty well seasoned horror fan. it takes some weird artsy/unique shit it scare me now. my fav horror directors are mike flanagan, arie aster, and jordan peele

As for the yellow teeth, Ive got something very simple that worked for me that wont damage your teeth like some of those too powerful whiteners. Get yourself a toothpaste with hydrogen peroxide and baking soda in it. It WILL whiten your teeth an extra shade or two, WITHOUT destroying your enamel like some over the counter whiteners.

Cool fact: Baghuul isn't a real god. But in the movie, he's depicted as the brother of moloch in the movie, which is a real god who is mentioned in the Bible. People used to sacrifice children to moloch.

Fun Fact: Ethan Hawke was never told what was going to be on the films he was watching, so his reaction to everything was genuine. Also, I feel like the music score isn't really talked about much with horror movies, but "Sinister" score is so haunting. Like the main score when he's watching the videos, it just gives me chills just imagining that music.

I love this movie, it's so scary! I was 13 when I watched it for the first time: I got goosebumps and had nightmare for one week! A 2020 study by Broadband Choices named Sinister the scariest film ever made, based on an analysis of viewer heart rates. And I agree with that! 21:20 / 29:37 LOL

I recommend Sinister 2- we’re not done with Deputy So-and-So yet, his character is a much better human being than the protagonist of this movie. You get to really root for his success. And see more perspective from the child being seduced

The thing that was amazing about this film is that it is not an overly original concept in many ways--but the way that Scott Derrickson executes it as a director is just terrifying. It literally makes you feel so unsettled and fearful.

The lawnmower jump scare is the best scare of the last 25 years, even more so because it only takes your brain a fraction of a second to realize what is happening to the person. It's a one-two punch and so deeply disturbing for so long afterward.

Love your channel. If you guys feel like watching something funny you should check out the movie "Bad Words". With your sense of humors I think you would love it. And one of the main characters in the movie is someone you loved from another movie you reacted to. Especially Ash. And I'm curious since the 2 roles from each movie are so different, if either of you even recognize him.
