The locos were ok but the ride was rough, on the jointed track very bad on the CWR bad too. If different bogies were supplied instead of the standard GM bogie it would have solved the problem. From a drivers point of view the railcars are more comfortable and quieter.
Its still double to Cobh , there were plans to single it from Cobh Junction to Cobh in the 1970s but then the NET factory was planned for Marino Point. Loco Hauled trains ceased in 2004 or 2005 I think.
Hmm, I always though the destination blinds where hand operated by turning a lever, but at 7:30 onwards it looks like they are electronically controlled. Interesting.
