Today, I go over what went wrong during the WOT tuning pulls in the Shelby GT500 Supercharger Swapped Ford SVT F-150 Lightning Race Truck! It made a TON of boost, is making good horsepower, and is almost ready to hit the drag strip to do some racing, there was just one minor setback, so let me explain...

Good choice on the ID 1050X. Thats what i run and make good power (over 800HP) and no issues!

Is there a way to bullet proof the transmission?

These transmissions are pretty bullet proof for most and can live at 600 hp for a long time in stock form. For most, a valvebody (best mod for these trucks period), with fresh fluid will get you far. If making big power, or your trans was misused or abused, then go with A1 Transmissions for a built trans, best in the game.

Something is wrong on your tune or injectors or issue is octane isn't enough to the boost you seeing. I run no less than 97oct with boostane for 20psi and anything up 20psi I run 100oct. Same timing just add more octane for the added boost. I run 60lb injectors on jdm fuel system with 97 fuel rails and I have a 2.4 upper/10lb at 23psi 10* timing air fuel at 11.3 at sea level in houston tx

Yup, I also run boostane, at about 98 octane. Your static/base pressure might be higher than mine, resulting in the injectors having alittle more room. I coulda raised my base fuel pressure to make them work, but that woulda put my pumps at risk instead. Ever log injector duty cycle to see what % they are at?

@DebtLife_Projects I was told our trucks don't have that ability to log and only way is watching your fuel pressure it don't start dropping. Now what I can say is I set my fuel pressure at 43psi so it can actually be true at 40psi since each fuel regulator vary. At 40psi it would actually be at 36psi and I would hearing popping on my exhaust from how lean it was running

@@user-hz9fz1yt9p yeah, you can log it, it's just alittle tricky, it's not a straight forward PID. You have to datalog a few different PID's, create a custom user PID, and use them with a formula, you'll see in the next video. But it shows your injector duty in a % and mine were hitting 95-100%. Afr at 95% duty cycle dipped rich, then trailed lean as airflow continued. I confirmed with multiple, reputable tuners, they all said the same thing, they are definitely maxed out at this fuel pressure.

@DebtLife_Projects reason I mention it's weird cause am email tune with JJ and am upper 770-780rwhp and its all been on just upping the boost spinning harder the tvs and leaving timing alone at 10*. So I know am constantly moving fuel pressure harder. Further mentioning to point i gained another 2psi with 32gph of water meth being sprayed directly to the rotors and pushing 25psi with it and 23psi without it. So fuel pressure hasn't showed no issues even with more boost gained on top of 23psi. But if they Gave you the green light than by all means upgrade, but 22psi at that pulley combo pulley ratio and already showing fuel system limitations even with metco fuel rails I be wary. my 97 fuel rail have been more than enough and I spin my tvs at 24,000 with no issues to see 23psi. My engine is Hu at 9:0:1 with ported pi heads and jdm comp cams. I would still try to get it on a dyno to make sure you making power properly I don't like the results your showing and feel you won't see what the tvs is really about and go 2.3 whipple down the road
