Running a Strandhogg currently for LE and its the best plate carrier Ive seen in my career. Yes it's pricey but like anything quality it should be. You get what you pay for and this is worth every penny. Used in conjunction with ShotStop plates its unbelievably lightweight and comfortable. I recommend this 100%
Whats the life expectancy of the 6/12 fabric? I have a strandhogg and love it but I notice a lot of sag in the 6/12 slits and what looks to be a lot of strain when using traditional molle pouches instead of 6/12 pouches.
Don't get steel unless you have a spall lining on it and at that point ceramic will likely be of similar price and lighter, so don't get steel.
