Old plastic bottels from Pacific, 25kg , is the base to build the interieur. In other words, recycling old plastic used to produce the sidepanels

I had two test drives of the Ocean Extreme on 22” wheels on extremely potholed Scottish city centre roads and was amazed at the ride quality for a car on steel springs not air suspension. Yes,like Norway, here in Scotland the California mode would be wasted and might get used once or twice a year maximum, same for the solar sky roof - it rains here more than the sunshine’s so it wouldn’t be a justified extra cost to have had the Extreme with them as standard but the next model down doesn’t have the solar roof but still a opening panoramic roof and doesn’t have California mode and cost a whole lot less before the present pricecutting (which is only on 2023 built cars BTW not on 2024 builds that are now stopped). If it had not been the worries about warranty work,repairs/servicing (which is minimal in EVs anyway) and the promised updates actually being delivered I would be driving an Ocean Ultra now instead of my U25 Mini Countryman Electric Sport L3 that was delivered 2 weeks ago. The Teslas all had teething bugs and design issues when they came to market and they got fixed over time, aren’t other new to market companies also not permitted to have a few bugs and design errors at the start. For sure all the Land/ Range Rovers, Minis and Audis I’ve owned over the years have had their share of issues and silly design failures that have eventually been ironed out. It will be a shame if Fisker does fail financially because given some more developement this car could be a great car. How about a Jaguar Ocean? The I-Pace has its issues but the I-Pace and the Ocean are built by the same maker - Magna Steyr.

Most cars have bugs or issues It depends on the individual driving and their requirements. The problem Fisker and their owners have is that the car is not ready for market without some of these bugs getting fixed. Think ID3 even VW took years to fix software bugs and the car never took off as it should when it was launched. VW has the resources to deal with this failure Fisker hasn't. Fisker has had to send an effectively pre-production car to market to try and get some cashflow to pay off debtors AND persuade backers to provide more cash. This is a risky strategy if it doesn't work you loose the farm.

As much problems it has, I'm still tempted to get one as a second family car. NOK 359k for a brand new Ocean One seems like a bargain. (As long as it's possible to maintain it) Worst case scenario, sell it for parts and build a huge house powerbank with the battery 😅

Take into account you will be left with your pants down if anything happens, ANYTHING. Some jerk side swipes and damages some body panels?! Tough luck getting replacement. Even worse, a headlight is cracked, yeah, good luck finding one of those Or you are taken by surprise and hit someone and you have to find your own parts. This Fisker is not a startup anymore, this fisker is at a continuous scamming practices of clients and partners. He already folded one company doing the same a decade ago, leaving people staring at the sun.

A test if all connectivity is cut ( Wifi/3/4/5G) would be helpful whether the car can still be operated without any Fisker online services - my Tesla can except those App based convenience features

Sometimes the car looks as if Fisker had packed in various design elements and features, but without coordinating them with each other. 22:08 and do you remember how some people cried out loudly when Tesla installed the hazard warning light switch in the roof?! 😂

Love your review! I do think the Taco tray gets too little positive attention or at least is not tested against its intended purpose. I would like to commend Fisker for trying to create a multi purpose environment, when waiting in the charge spot, you can actually have some work done and it is the perfect place to adjust your seating position into one that allows for some comfortable typing on a laptop. I love the design, I love the callifornia mode even though I live in Holland, not famous for its sunny seasons. But I would definately use it and just like a bath in the house, which would get used only a few times a year and the rest would be the shower, same here for me. Question, did you test against the upgraded software or isnt that released yet? I really love the design and If I would think the upgrade would offer any relief, I would sign up for one if my lease company had it in its inventory list!

This car is not for everyone, but I'm sure it has a user segment. If you can accept low expectations to the software, and find strange pleasure in workarounds, you could get a really special car.

Am I the only one that wants a manual adjustable, hard stupid, safe car with seat heaters, preheating and a quite ride? I mean give me a big Batterie but leave me alone with all that rubbish. I wish car makers would really dial down to practicability and affordability instead on going mental on stuff that is not needed. Nice review though, Bjørn

If the screen has only single UI (the panel in the back seat, for climate control), it doesn't really make sense to put Tablet in it. Why not just plain simple buttons, even like in cheap remote control? This trend of putting tablets everywhere is nuts

First things i did after getting my Ocean One- disabled the drowsy driver warning, the lane keep assist and lane departure warning systems. Mine runs like a top and i friggin love it after 6500 miles driven since November

Sad about all the little (and big) issues in a car that could be a home run price wise - and I am afraid the auto cruise and lane assist will not be completed ever due to the financial situation with the manufacturer... Unless they make the software open source and skilled fans fix the software...

Exterior design is ok, but that’s it. And what’s up with the stupid features like California mode (I believe they prefer AC and all windows closed in the heat) that practically is the same feature I had on an old 1997 Mercedes (opening all windows and sun roof with the keyfob) or the table and taco tray. I can’t remember the last time I had the need for a freakin table in a car. Storage space under the armrest is nice, but wait - that’s occupied by the useless taco tray… A guy at the Fisker fb-group told that Henry Fisker had promised that the headlights would be better than LED Matrix - then they turn out to be almost as shitty as Classic Ioniq. Then all the bugs and bad design solutions (taco tray crashing in the steering wheel, button panel that makes it hard to access the wireless charging spots, crappy touch panel) - many of them won’t be fixable with software updates either. Fisker tries to be different, but with features that are pretty useless and definitely doesn’t make the car stand out positively in the crowd of EVs. It feels like they rushed the car out on the market way too early. With their desperate price cuts recently, they also torpedoed the economy of lots of owners who bought their cars at full price. I hope the company survives, would be nice to see what they eventually are able to make in the future - like a facelifted Oceon that is a bit more desireable. A guy who recently got his F O claimed it was a big step upwards from his previous fat eTron. If that’s true, eTron must be a terrible car. But I know it isn’t…

California mode is amazing. We use it whenever its above 55 degrees and not raining here in Seattle. I can’t stop at a light without someone commenting on how cool the car looks or asks about how it feels.

This is one of the cheapest plasticy interiors I have seen and the steering wheel adjustment is ridiculous. The buttons on the steering wheel are especially awful.

Does not feel or appear cheap and plasticy in person. People who dont own the car complain about lack of seat adjustment but its literally the only car i have owned in the past 20 years i can drive 125 miles and not need to shift my seating position once. Yeah, its that comfortable.

Looks like a amatore designer have designed that cars internely. So much stupid options, and way not a "Glovebox" We in Norway have alot of stuff in it and we dont like it spread al around in the car. This Design is like it is ftom a designer that never have designed a car internal before. Oo my im so glad that guy is not a designer for Tesla, then they will have been broke lol Fisker is showing its to amatore so i will not recomend a car brand like that. Fisker have tryd, its maybe good they go down.

Why even waste time reviewing this car, fisker is dead and the ocean will die with them, no updates anymore, no service already, nobody is going to buy this car anyways. Perhaps as a PV Battery for homeinstallation, if you get a cheap Ocean around 20k you get 100kWh of storage, that would be nice

Okay we got it. Mkbhd made a bad review of this vehicle and now Fisker pays you a lot to promote it as Norway is leader in EV adoption. Can we please move on an get a look at other cars. more than 4 videos for this Fisker, let ppl decide if they like it..... What a world we live in, for money everyone can become a fool.

As a buyer willing to bargain on buying an Ocean (given the actual price tag) even with the turmoil the company is in, I’m interested about Bjørn videos and thoughts. So please, don’t generalized your opinion on this car. You don’t like it and you’re triggered, fine, move on
