Five Nights At Freddy's (2023) Movie Reaction | *First Time Watching* 

The custody case seems weird until you realize it was the driving force of the story. It was what made mike desperate enough to take the job. It also is why Max babysat for free and when it caused her to go missing, forcing mike to take Abby to the pizzeria or find a babysitter on a very short notice late at night that he couldn't afford anyway.

I took my 14 year old for their birthday to the premier of this movie. It was cute to see kids gasp at certain parts and they all cheered at the end. It was over all a great time! My only question was why the Aunt thing wasn’t addressed afterwards 😂

You could argue that there wouldnt be any blood if that would happen in real life. (Talking about the springlock scene) Its pretty much like being stabbed with a knife. It would kinda only squirt out like you would think if you pull the knife out but since the springlocks are pretty much locked in that position that would keep the wound closed for the most part!!!

I usually don't laugh at your dad jokes but ab-a-matronic was gold.

Not sure if this was answered but in the game lore Chica is thought to be a little girl named Susie and when Afton murdered her, he murdered her dog too thay was with her. Which is thought to be the cupcake.

Fun fact, Markiplier was actually supposed to me the security guard at the beginning of the movie but he was filming a different movie so he could never make it.

So the animatronics are actually puppets from the Jim Henson studio. When they're walking and such they're actually puppeteers in the suits. It's so well done!

19:01 - Yeah, the first game hints that the robots are possessed by spirits of murdered children (one instance when looking at one of the screens, a poster is replaced with what appears to be a newspaper article talking about kids going missing) but leaves it open that they are following programming (as the Phone Guy states that they mistake human beings as endoskeletons and force them into animatronic suits). In the third game, it's confirmed that the animatronics were possessed by kids. And it's been expanded on with the tie-in material and the sequel games.

Ah yes Balloon Boy, the bane of my playtrough. The fact that he's startling characters three times ia a sign that Scott is aware of his notoriousity.

The custody thing wasn't unnecessary...It was there so it would be the reason Mike got the job at Freddy's. Seems like a lot of FNaF reactors don't pay attention to the film very well at points. I'd also recommend looking at FNaF Movie TV tropes as it explains everything. Hope this helps.

A few things since you don’t play the games much!! 16:20 - this little fella is Balloon Boy! He was introduced in FNaF 2 and steals your batteries so you aren’t able to use the flashlight We aren’t really sure how Chica and Cupcake operate soul-wise in the movie, since the lore is different from the games. In the games, however, Cupcake is simply a prop for Chica! The yellow rabbit at the end of the movie is Springtrap. He’s the main antagonist for the series and the animatronic that William Afton gets trapped in. He was previously known as Spring Bonnie but had a name change after William got trapped and was used in Freddy Fazbear’s Frights (a horror attraction where you work at in FNaF 3)

As far as I know all the animatronics are actually suits worn by actors except for foxy and the cupcake. Also literally anyone who knows what afton’s history was like in the games was not surprised by him turning his daughter into a pin cushion

As someone who grew up with the games, I would say this movie was pretty good. Definitely room for improvement, but I was satisfied for the most part. You do need to know quiet a bit of lore to fully enjoy the movie however.

You know I never actually thought that Puggapillar would actually know some things about FNAF. I thought it would be his 1st time experiencing anything FNAF, but the fact that he actually played the 1st game when it came out kinda makes him an og FNAF fan. 🐻🐰🐥🦊

31:16 The fanbase isn’t essentially children, most of the fan base is over 18 now singe this game came out when we were kids, it’s just that all the family friendly RU-vidrs have been focusing on horror games as they’ve been trending more and more the past few years now and with security breach the newer games are a bit more lighthearted w dark Easter eggs and hints to a darker story. The movie was PG-13 so they could bring enough of an audience in to make enough money for a better sequel, I mean they made triple the money they used to make this movie so they can definitely make the next one rated R. If it’s a prequel they can explore more on the lore

Pugs, The little doll you got jumpscared by is called '' Balloon Boy '' he appeared in FNAF 2,..Also those dead kids were the ones William Afton had killed and stuffed into the animatronics, The animatronics are not only animatronics but also suits that can be warn by performers, Its both cool and dangerous since the Suits have springlocks in them and if the slightest drop of water/liquid or movement might set the springlocks off causing a very slow and painful death. I know I'm going on and on I just really love FNAF and this Movie is good, The animatronics are accurate to the ones in the games which I love. I'm so happy you liked the Movie.

i noticed the knife swipe right away and I even said "hey, the Ghostface knife swipe" but for some reason, I didn't make the connection. Another fun thing is Matthew Lillard is essentially the Phone Guy near the beginning, and how does Ghostface contact his victims? I was so happy with all the Easter eggs. If Markiplier made it into the movie, it would have been even better.

honestly the movie was enjoyable, it was decent, I wish they would have gotten people with higher pedigree to work on this though, cause it definitely could and should have been better, I could see it was done with love and care and I definitely respect the effort that went into this, but could also feel the lack of ability in certain aspects...Im hoping they will do another movie and double down on the horror aspect, make it creepy and unsettling as it should be, atmospheric, get somebody who understands how to work this kind of material and is really good at storytelling in this environment, this movie spent quite a lot of time on Mike and Abby, establishing their characters, so thats out of the way and we can move to more intriguing stuff, Afton needs more as he was just kinda in the movie for the sake of it, more focus on making getting the best out of this in terms of horror as many fan projects demonstrated is very much possible, this franchise can be up there with respectable horror pieces just need to commit, its all good having some fun with it but that shouldnt be the focus, go dark, thats what the subject truly is...this was an interesting take for sure, did not expect them to handle the animatronics the way they did, big props to them for building everything and making this as practical as possible :) Matthew Lillard is always a joy, gotta bring him back for more...btw wth happened with the aunt does nobody care about her dead body xD

As a long time FNAF fan this movie was nearly perfect

I'll be honest, I had decided I was probably not going to watch the film (I really love Matthew Lillard but the franchise just isn't my cup of tea.) so I'm so glad you've reacted to it so I at least get the vibe of it. I might even check it out now because of you. Also, just because I think it's cool, the animatronics were made with the help of Jim Henson's Creature Shop; which honestly feels obvious now I've seen just how good they look.
