Krampus (2015) Movie Reaction! (WTF??) *First Time Watching*

Krampus is wearing a Santa costume(the old man face is a mask), I imagine it looks like a goat demon under there.

Just to let you know, they are not stuck in the snow globe. The movie plays out like a twisted version of A Christmas Carol. There are hints throughout the film. The biggest is the movie playing. Also, the snow globe is used for Krampus to keep tabs on families. Very little is known about them, whether they're families Krampus visits or just all families of the world.

So the snow globe is just Krampus keeping an eye on them after giving them a second chance. Just like how Santa watches us when we sleep and are awake, etc. Had he not given them a second chance he would have killed the family and let the kid live to teach him a lesson like he let the Grandma live to teach her a lesson.

Asking why Santa isn't helping is like asking why isn't a God stepping in to stop human dilemma caused by their own hands 😂

To answer some of your questions A: According to a tie-in comic book, it is believed that the ending means that Krampus is merely keeping an eye on the family to make sure they don't lose the Christmas spirit again, not dragging them to hell. B: The reason Krampus's jaw is open is because it is not his actual jaw: It is a dead man's face he wears as a mask. He is merely an imitation, a shadow, if you will, of Santa Claus.

What I love the most about this movie is its final scene

It wasnt one family that brought this on. It was society, which is why they showed you the Christmas shopping at the beginning. I always assumed that they are stuck in purgatory. They are indeed dead but stuck in a snow globe.

This and Gremlins are my go to Christmas movies.

I love watching people's first time reactions to this movie, when it gets to the part at the end where Max wakes up in his bed and they think it was all just a dream hahah the consistent disappointment is so funny to me

hi so for your question about who is krampus. while in most of the world christmas is known to be happy, jolly and santa related, in germanic and slavic countries not so much... according to folklore krampus is actualy a subordinate of santa. christmas was about getting what you deserved if you were good you got a visit from santa if you were bad you had to deal with krampus. when someone was bad he was visited by krampus and was offered 3 alternatives: 1.krampus will eat him 2.krampus will drag him to hell 3. krampus will beat him with his stick. if you chose the beating krampus will take out his stick and whip and start hitting you in this choice you dont die but you have to promise to krampus you will be better until next christmas or krampus will come back and drag you to hell. hoping this was helpful❤

Krampus goes after the neighborhood because they were all rich and dysfunctional like Max’s family. Max losing hope and ripping up his letter to Santa was the loss of any true Christmas spirit that was left in their uptight wealthy neighborhood which finally summoned Krampus.

No, Krampus didn't trap them in a snow globe. lol That was a way for him to keep a watch on the homes he visited. And the Christmas ball was a confirmation all that stuff actually happened. They all got a second chance and woke. If they were trapped in the snow globe, you wouldn't be seeing the neighborhood homes.

I read a book about Krampus a long time ago and I'm pretty sure if I remember correctly the snowmen were Krampus's victims and it seems pretty implied that it's the case for the movie as well

I feel like the wish came true and everyone died But because he regretted it, best thing Krampus could do was to put everybody's soul in the snow globe, included max's. Because if Max survived he would've been alone. Maybe the other snow globes are from other kids that regretted their wish.

Since I don't have a Patron, I'll make my recommendation here: I got a recommendation for you since you've watched Krampus, which is one of my favourite horror movies, I recommend watching a good RU-vidr's Resident Evil 7: The Movie (English version) and Resident Evil Village: The Movie. These are done by Coldshade. I would love to see your reaction to those movies in the near future, since they are canon to the franchise and my favourite Resident Evil game movies. I'm pretty sure Coldshade wouldn't mind you doing one of these reactions to it. Be sure to credit them for the clips.
