I love this blade, I carried one in the Marines where everyone had their fancy ka-bars and Gerber LMFs/Strong arms. This is my favorite blade of all time. I’ve got some deep pockets so I’m able to conceal it well.
you are so right about a deturant Eric, from my real experience , in home and out in the orchard and the small city, if your armed with ANYTHING the no goods take a step back, and they go to weaker pray, keep on rocking in the USA Eric
yeah, up until now i have been walking around with a Jo staff the looks close enough to a walking stick (i even add a cane traction pad at the end, i am still able to do damage in jabs even with it on) that most would not pay it any mind even though it is perfectly capable of breaking bones with enough force but i have this knife coming in the mail and i might switch to it or have both on me, staff for medium range and knife for close range
Excellent points! My dad picked up a buck fixed blade knife last year and I never knew he had it. Maybe I will inherit that, he has already processed 2 deer with it. I've been taking my GEC farm and field hawkbill to work the last few days. I finally got an edge on it and actually stropped it up.
I watched this video before making that trip back to Walmart to rebuy my third buck 119. It’s one of those knives I simply have to have in my collection, she goes everywhere with me, maybe not inside at my job (not yet anyway, lol) but she is there in my car. As we discussed this knife holds a ton of sentimental value with me. Glad to see you enjoy the 119 as well, excellent video as always brother.
That’s why I carry a Charles daily 1911.45acp. They say the 119 is one of the sharpest blades on the market. Outstanding video my brother. I truly enjoy your channel my friend
I've bought like Four of these total thus far. The first one I gave to my dad for his Birthday, and that was over 20 years ago. He still has it till this day. The second I bought for myself, which was the 20th Anniversary Edition, but I ended up letting my wife have it. Then I finally got me a regular one which sits in my collection. Recently, I bought one for a fellow employee that didn't have a fix blade that did me a solid. I own many, many knives, everything from Busse, Esse, Bark River, Cold Steel, ect, ect, many of which cost hundreds of dollars a piece, but I still love my Buck, it's just a classic design.
The Buck 119 is definitely my go to fixed blade for everything use. I usually carry a cheap folding knife with the lock back mechanism similar to what the Buck 110 has but for a fixed blade the Buck 119 beat the rest and I've had my fair share of fixed blades over the years.
I own one and I worked for buck for a couple years and I had one of my buddies make me a custom leather sheath to where I can wear it horizontally on the back of my belt
Hey Eric, I’m a new subscriber. I love your content. I have a few cheap cold steel swords but I’m really a knife guy. I was curious if you still edc the 119? I just got the 119 “pro” and where I live it’s highly frowned upon to carry but I wish I could. I plan to get the regular 119 again soon.I sold mine a long time ago and I wish I didn’t. It’s such a classic.
Thanks for watching. I do carry my 119 a couple times a week. Definitely in my rotation still to this day. Nice. Have yet to handle one of those pro models.. Always wanted to get one from their custom shop with the s35vn steel and black palm wood handle. My dream one comes to $240. Lol
make sure to eat as healthy as you can during their vacation, it will keep your mistakes at a minimum. good luck and stuff. between the coronavirus and good work I would hope they would raise your standard of living a little!
You should check out the horizontal sheath options on amazon they got a really nice one for around 75 dollars, the knife I got was great but the sheath was trash it broke on my hip while wearing it
Didn't watch this video, but the still thumbnail that is shown when you're scrolling videos here, is downright creepy. It looks like an audition tape for the lead role in a West Virginia production of Helter Skelter.
Nice! Can't go wrong with a 119. The 420 held me back for the longest time, but omce I got her in hand, I was amazed. Great knife. Order one or just get the Walmart kne with nylon Sheath?
@@erichusayn I ordered it from BHQ cuz I wanted the leather one. And yeah I would have never bitten on this if you hadn't said that you liked the steel. And usa made too! Got the idea to get one from your 3 knives vid. And its all I can afford right now to subdue my knife fix 🔪 lol
@@RooRguy27 you won't be disappointed.. You can order a customized one directly from buck with s30v. Gonna do that eventually. My dream one, pimped out with the options I want is $240.
@@erichusayn ooff that's awesome. I probably will never use mine lol. Also I want it cuz its the knife from scream. One of the only horror movies I love.
Strop. A piece of leather with polishing compound on it. Doimg that aligns all the microscopic saw teeth on the edge and makes the blade cut waaaaaaay smoother.
I would maybe use your first name and a different last name or something with only part of your name. Lots of weirdos on here. Best to not put your full name out there Iike that just in case.
You have some very good points, I might suggest toning the foul language when presenting your information to public . It your choice ,if you are looking to grow your channel people would take the information better
Thanks. Lol. Im getting there. There has been a drastic reduction in my profanity since I started uploading. But I'm still not quite kid friendly yet. One day. Thanks for watching and saying that nicely the way you did.
@@erichusayn you have great options, no need for thanks ,nothing gets accomplished being rude or insulting. As an 1stand 2nd ammendment activist it is great to see a young man exercising the right to open carry . I will tell when I was your age it took a long time to develop better communication skills
