Fix stripped threads with a helicoil! I repair my brake caliper with a helicoil kit!

I just stripped my brand new rear Brembo caliper exactly like this. Soo disappointing! I got the other 3 installed and hopefully I can repair mine like you did!

I made the catastrophic mistake about a year or so ago of stripping the threads out of the banjo bolt hole for a brand new caliper. I ran my fingers across the hose fitting and seen one of the crush washers fall to the ground. I even scraped it with a pick and never seen a second one fall. I didn't make absolutely sure BOTH washers came off. I put two fresh washers on and tightened the fitting on the caliper but it wouldn't stop leaking and it didn't seem to get tighter past a certain point. I backed it out and three washers fell out along with some metal shavings into my hand. Is this fixable with something like this?

do you think i could do this if my port is on the bottom instead of on the side like yours?

Would you be able to update on if this worked? I have a similar situation(flare nut fitting instead of banjo bolt) with an aluminum 4-piston caliper. Was your fix able to hold pressure?

Curious if this worked have a brand new set tightened the line up and it pulled the thread. Im so ticked off right now

What size kit did you get? I just did this on my Baer brakes same exact ones. Need to order a kit to fix my brakes
