Hello GUP. I've watched so many of your videos, but I've never caught your name... so sorry for that, but I have a question. I have a pump like yours, (Leacock 451-5221). And I have been concerned about how it slams against the stops (@1:29) and causes that "shockwave" I have considered disassembling it and maybe putting some rubber washers or 0-rings in it as an attempt to dampen it. Have you ever tried that before? I thought I would ask before I take my pump apart. That stove is really neat. I'm so glad you got it going! And runs on gas too. That's unique to me!
Hi there! I've seen other pumps that used springs and I considered doing that, but it'd only work for the upstroke. Downstroke would still need some sort of bumper, maybe 3d printed TPU. If the leather cup was a bit bigger, it would work as a bumper itself...so not sure why this one goes BONK on the way down.
